EmilC
Replaced ALK's Universal with Dean's SuperX. Alk's xover is no slouch and at $320 a nice upgrade from Crite's but the SuperX is in another league.True it cost twice as much but parts are not parts. Dean uses Clarity and Mundorf and the extra cost shows. Selenium D405 replaced with B&C DCM50 Nice work, Dean Edited January 23, 2015 by EmilC

Shakey Thanks Shakey It was a bit of a journey to get it to where I want it to be. Dont understand the dislike for the the D2380 horn. Granted,I don't have anything to compare it to but it sounds pretty damn good as it is and I'm in no rush to replace it

Max2
Deans Super X offering is the best sounding network I have ran in my LaScalas and K-horns. I now have a set for both.

I painted the front black and used polyurethane for the sides. Changes made in order: 1) Added dampening material inside the cabinet 2) Dampened the horn with Dynamat 3) Replaced the Xover with ALK Eng Universal 4) Replaced the selenium D405 with B&C DCM50 5) Replaced all internal wiring with Supra hookup wire 6) Replaced ALK Xover with Dean's SuperX and installed it outside the cabinet 7) Added spikes to bottom of cabinet Edited January 23, 2015 by EmilC
Schu
is there a chance I can see how you handled the pass thru of the cables to use the XO outside of the cabinet? I want to do that but am a little scared to make a mistake.

sadie777
It's threads like these that are gonna make me go broke, Lol. I need to get three of them for my LaScalas. It'll be a while until I have the money, but so looking forward to it.

Hard to believe it has been that long. St.Patrick (Patrick McCarthy) wound up with the Corns. As far as I know he is still enjoying them. Probably should have kept them but I am thrilled that Patrick enjoys them. Truly great guy!
