BigStewMan
I’m a huge Taylor fan. I’ve always thought the T5 was one of the most comfortable guitars that i’ve ever held. Had intended to get an acoustic with no electronics this time; but, then saw this snow white T5z and if they were in stock--i may have been writing to tell you of my new purchase. But, Taylor is claiming an “unusual delivery delay” so not sure when it will be available. But, i think i’m going to go for this one. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/T5zStdWHT
Ceptorman
That is one fine instrument there….congrats. The tobacco sunburst is pretty hott also.
JL Sargent
It looks like a futuristic Les Paul Hollow Body. Does it look or play as good as a Les Paul? At that price point I think you should consider one. Edited March 28, 2015 by JL Sargent
Ceptorman
I'll bet it plays as well as that Les Paul.
Marvel
Taylor guitars have some of the best action and intonation of ANY guitar being built. Consistent from instrument to instrument, model to model. I've always found the regular production Gibsons to vary considerably. Even Martins... The good news is all companies are making better instruments. Taylor has helped by freely sharing ideas and techniques ... Bruce
angusruler
wow, never seen one in white, very nice! a customer of mine had an original t5, sounded great and very versatile.
JL Sargent
Taylor has helped by freely sharing ideas and techniques ... Huh? Taylor established 1974, Gibson Les Paul introduced 1952. In this instance you have it backwards!

Schu
I'm not a taylor fan... far from it. I am a Martin fan. at my deepest, I had 8 martins (d28, hd28, d28lf, 00028vs, 00028, om18ge, om42, 0028) in my collection and one each of a Bourgeois Sean Watkins and a Froggy Bottom. My absolute favorite maker is Froggy Bottom... but I can't afford them anymore (much sadness), but give me a 00028vs any day of the week and I will be a happy camper for life. Ceptorman
Pretty good JL, ever watched Tommy Emanuel? Many times. I like em all. I have 2 teenage daughters that I give guitar lessons to. The oldest is pretty good, the younger one does it only because her sister does. I always show them a video and tell them, "don't judge the guitar by what I can show you, this is what it's actually capable of sounding like"!
BigStewMan
Does it look or play as good as a Les Paul? i think so…and at half the weight. i want to say the T5z is only four pounds.
Marvel
Taylor has helped by freely sharing ideas and techniques ... Huh? Taylor established 1974, Gibson Les Paul introduced 1952. In this instance you have it backwards! No, I don't have it backwards. Taylor has been very innovative with production techniques that have reduced costs while still improving the quality of the instruments. They have built tools that other companies have purchased and use. They want every luthier/company to improve and succeed. They are very approachable and willing to share ideas. If I remember correctly, even the CF Martin company has put into practice some ideas learned from Taylor. BTW, my best friend still has my '63 D-28. It's a beautiful guitar, and i hope to get back one of these days. Especially since I only paid $350 for it when I got it. Paducah Home Theater
The general idea reminds me of my old Ovation. Of course I sold it due to not being able to stand the sound of it. I'm sure this will be better.
