REO Speed Wagon is an Oldsmobile!

Roger

Kind of  :)

Where did the band get its name?

From a flatbed truck, first built in the early 1900's. It was very high-speed and heavy-duty for its day, and was considered a milestone in the history of transportation. It was sometimes outfitted as a fire engine. The letters REO are the initials of Ransom Eli Olds, who went on to create the Oldsmobile.

Almost completely in order... And yes there are more than 5, but those first 3 or 4 would probably always be there. The others could be swapped into my top 5 on any given day.

Pink Floyd

Rush

Van Halen

Judas Priest

Pantera

Iron Maiden

Stevie Ray Vaughan

Scorpions

Joe Satriani

Boston

Metallica (up to the black album)

ARCADE FIRE (lately)

Sitting on an Island forever like Crusoe, with my Khorns and a good drink and things, a cool breeze.

I could do it until football season starts.

Wow! Great lists.

1. Philip Glass

2. Bill Evans

3. Sigur Ros

4. The Black Keys (I grew up in Cleveland)

5. Andrew Bird

I love the classics, but I don't listen to them like I listen to the above. Sorry Coltrane and Miles missed the list.

Okay.  I'm getting way too many email notifications about posts to this thread only to find more REO references.  I think I need to unfollow this thread, because It's Time for Me to Fly…

I’m gonna stick around and keep ridin' the storm out.

Lots of great music on here. Pretty interesting that it's fairly heavy on the rock and roll side...lots more metal than I thought there'd be.

One for me that I haven't seen, or maybe missed...Ozzy...can listen to Blizzard of Ozz and No More Tears albums a ton.

If you will check my initial post, I listed Ozzy as my number 1 pick!

I have 15 Ozzy CDs and several Black Sabaths as well.

I have been listening to Michael Ozborn since he was with Black Sabath, back in the 8-track, cassette days!
