MeloManiac
Have you all seen this thread? Please consider pledging for this Kickstarter project. I did, and it'll cost around 100 dollars for me , because I live in Europe, but I think it's worth the money! 2

JohnJ
Just chillin' with your Oscar Peterson Trio from the previous page. Saw a tv special with Dianna years ago, she's very good! Poisonous storms and thirties last week, almost 60 with all the windows open today. Flounder for dinner tonight... and I won't smell it inside tomorrow! 2
MeloManiac
I bought this one in 1989, first on vinyl, later I bought the CD as well. From the first moment I heard it, I knew it was a masterpiece. Prince adding an insane character to the movie, Partyman, that I think, is scarier than Jack Nicholson as The Joker. 4 1

MicroMara
arrived today and has been ordered a couple of weeks ago, arrived from England before I bought the above mentioned Shibata Stylus for the Goldring IGC 920 as well as the Goldring AC 500 High Output MC Cart . A real rar ADC E 10 MK IV , NoS , less than 50 hours of operation, first owner bought it in 1972 , incl. a brand new spare needle from Astatic USA ....another real treasure and asset. How far Peter Pritchard was with his developments already in the 1970s, one sees today at the modern Nagaoka MP 110 > MP 500 series, almost identically from the body as well as likewise Moving Iron Pick Ups. So not really much has changed 2
MeloManiac
"Side B is amazing!" This is what I was thinking this morning, while listening to Jonathan Livingston Seagull. I then realised that this short sentence is seldom heard nowadays, with streaming and CDs being the staple source of music. Some vinyl records have sides that are quite different in style or tone. Another example is The Carpenters' Now & Then. And Vangelis' Chaririots of Fire, of which the b-side is a symphonic suite. No synthesizers. Add to this some remastered CDs and released with additional tracks spoiling (!) the concept of an album, which is another argument to listen to vinyl records.

Was my first cd in 1983 , spun that one over a week non stop , ja the title track " Chariots of Fire " is indescribably gorgeous, the Philips CD 100 was my first cd player
