bkwa1959
When I lived in Greensboro,NC I lived in the same neighborhood and as a young man of 18 it was a treat to see him ride his bike.He was the most down to earth guy you would ever want to meet. RIP Mr. Neal

JohnJ
Didn't know that he lived so close. Saw them... the originals in the early 70s at the coliseum here. They brought it all. The oohs, ahhhs, wows and especially the laughter. Seeing ACC Championship b-ball in Greensboro in the late 70s early 80s was almost as good of a memory but the two things really aren't comprable. RIP Curly. You were loved by millions!

Seadog
When I saw the news that he had died, I mentioned it to my 19 YO son. He just said "who is that?". A lost generation.

Check and see if youtube can help and point him to it while you're inside this month, maybe there are some of their antics there!

KlipschFish
He was a master of the half court underhanded shot. And amazingly accurate. So much fun to watch. Thanks Curly. Dad took us kids when I was very young. That bucket full of 'water' (confetti) trick made me jump. We were close to the floor where Meadowlark threw it.
