Covid19 redux

The new trade deal with China must include a “Covid Response Repayment Schedule”, or curse for short, a surcharge on EVERY import and when the $6 trillion and counting has been recouped there will hopefully be alternate sources for EVERYTHING that country exports.

The Chinese government sent messages to Chinese nationals all around the world after the outbreak imploring them to buy up and send home all medical supplies they could from the countries they were living in. And they did, depleting global stocks of vital equipment.

I also propose any Chinese national that participated in this be held accountable. Maybe some anti-terrorism laws could be spun here to good effect.

They ALL knew what was going on.

They ALL said to hell with the rest of the world.

Has any mention been made on this forum yet of Chinese “Document Number Nine”?

If I understand this correctly and extrapolate then:

The Europeans can hold the USA accountable for the Spanish Flu that came from America,

The native Indians and the South Americans can hold Europe accountable for the spread of deadly diseases.

Where does it end ?

Flu and pneumonia are far more deadly here this year and over the same time frame would be my guess and if you don't like that prove me wrong.

"The most common type of bacterial pneumonia is called pneumococcal pneumonia. Pneumococcal pneumonia is caused by the Streptococcus pneumoniae germ that normally lives in the upper respiratory tract. It infects over 900,000 Americans every year. Bacterial pneumonia can occur on its own or develop after you've had a viral cold or the flu."

https://www.lung.org/lung-health-diseases/lung-disease-lookup/pneumonia/what-causes-pneumonia

We can add COVID-19 to the list of things that cause pneumonia. COVID-19 also has a good track record of putting people into ARDS, which technically, is another way you can die.

I think early on, a lot of places were using pneumonia as cause of death, which makes sense. I mean, if you get a cold, and it goes into pneumonia and you die, the hospital or Dr. doesn't mark cause of death as "the common cold".

So what we really want to know is how many pneumonia related deaths are caused by each different thing, and I don't know if it's possible to get good numbers for that.

What's important here is that COVID-19 is a novel virus, and the numbers have been kept down through mitigation efforts, which should also reduce cases of flu and related pneumonia.

I like the site you used. I might pay for a membership. At any rate, they supply a table comparing all of the above, and I don't really think it helps your argument much.

Would you have such a "charitable" reaction if it had been discovered that Trump was funding virus research?

That's really funny. I'll wait and see how long it takes you to figure out why.

The huge difference here is ‘prior’ knowledge. It is one thing to contaminate others naively without malice or intent. It is another thing when a country ‘understands’ the virulence and contagiousness of a pathogen and either through neglect or intent allows it to spread worldwide. China had studied these very viruses and had prior experiences with them as well. There own medical corps attempted to advise the authorities and were incarcerated for their effort. Instead of sounding klaxons China lied, obfuscated and hid this outbreak and through similar neglect allowed it to be transported globally. China is liable for these failures.

China lied about origin of coronavirus, leaked intelligence report says

https://nypost.com/2020/05/02/intelligence-report-says-china-lied-about-origin-of-coronavirus/

They didn't lie, they held back the information related to human to human transmission. They were hoping they could clean it up. contain it, and it would just go away.

The article states:

“At the same time, a senior intelligence source told Fox News that while most intelligence agencies believe COVID-19 originated in the Wuhan lab, it was thought to have been released accidentally.”

The Post reporting on what a secret dude passed on to FOX news is exactly the kind of stuff that needs to be ignored.

Things don't get "accidentally released" from a BSL-4 facility, and then driven down to a wet market 15 miles away.

The virus naturally lives in the throat of horseshoe bats. You can't get it by eating a bat. You need something in between -- an intermediate host. The scenario that makes the most sense is the same one that has played out several times over there.

Do BSL-3 and BSL-4 facilities jack around with this stuff? I sure hope so, because it makes getting a vaccine that much faster.
