Jeff Matthews
Other members and I were discussing politics in a PM. I posted a Youtube video containing recent election information. FB, Twitter, etc. have been removing the video on their platforms. Just this morning, it was removed from the KIipsch PM thread. In addition, my comments on the video (in the same post) were also removed. How did this happen?

richieb
Well, since this thread will probably go the way of the DoDo Bird I guess prepare for a minimum of four years of the Big Brother and Associates Regime -

Alexander
Hmm...... they deleted your pm(s) here? One would think that as long as you are not plotting some kind of national terrorist (or any illegal act for that matter) the “p” in pm should apply. Woofers and Tweeters
It was my understanding, unless someone in the PM group complains, the mods stay out of the PM world.
billybob
Instead of complain to a mod, think one could opt out. not participate. Maybe so, I guess...
Jeff Matthews
I'm not sure any mods had anything to do with this. In fact, I kind of doubt it. Maybe what happened is that since the video was pulled from Youtube, the forum software failed to render the entire post. I'd like to know. But if someone doesn't like what is going on in a pm group then shouldn't they just opt out of the conversation, yes?

Jeff Matthews
With all the "pulling" of so-called "fake news" these days, I am wondering if Big Brother found a vulnerability which allows it to accomplish its objectives on 3rd-party sites, such as this one.

That's correct. We don't have access to PM's unless someone flags a PM. That typically happens when a Forum Member receives a scam PM of some type regarding buying or selling something in garage sale. So I have no idea what happened on the YT post. I would suggest: 1. Going to Youtube to see if it is still there; if it is, try reposting it in a PM and see what happens. Travis
Administrators Chad Posted November 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 19, 2020 What Travis said. I don't even have access to PMs (unless I'm invited to one). Unsure 100% what actually happened, but probably due to the video being deleted in Youtube.
