Tom Mobley
not only ugly but fugly to boot. Although, that lower section does show promise.

greg928gts
I'd like to see them from a few different angles . . . while sitting on my couch! Greg
jt1stcav
It'd look a whole lot better to me if the squawker box was finished in Rosewood as well (without the cheap see-thru grille). That bass bin verticle stripe can go, too!
cyclonecj
That thing has a bad case of the ugly's....
Dflip
Where is his brother, R2-D2. I haven't had the manitory 12 beers to think it is beautiful. Don
jdm56
That doesn't look like the 50th Ann. pair I saw; at least, the top section doesn't. Is the grille missing from the top? The pair I saw had an exotic wood finish and kind of an art-deco look about it. I thought it was quite striking and unique. Of course, forget about matching a center or surrounds to it. cyclonecj
MUCH better... but I still don't like the oversized platform under the top section. Kinda gives me a "Jetsons" impression
IndyKlipschFan
Where are you guys getting these pics?? Are they for sale/// What is different?
maxg
I seem to remember that this was a limited production run purely during the 50th anniversary year. Not all KHorns made at the time were styled like this. There was some debate a couple of years back as various people thought they have 50th anniversary horns which were in fact, normal KHorns that happened to have been made in the 50th year as opposed to these special one offs. I am struggling to remember how many were made but I think the majority were snapped up in Japan. I would be surprised to see them come up very often on ebay - in fact I have never heard of one for sale there. One of the very few speakers that makes the standard KHorn look pretty IMHO. ben.
I'm with JT on this one. Think Chris King's decorator Corns... Keep the bookmatching going straight up the whole thing. I like the bass bin just fine.
