SilverSport
hmmmmmmm...something German perhaps??? Flat 6??? Bill
SCOOTERDOG
Hmmm. Looks like a V6 with a wonderful intake plenum, also does not have multi port injection from what is can see from the pic. I see the turbo bottom left. The engine has red in it so its not american made. Could it be an Audi V6 Turbo? That is a wild guess.scooter
SCOOTERDOG
Oh wait I think its Italian ahhh heck not sure. But looking closer at it it looks like it could be used in a mid engine car because of the exhaust manifold. Heck
DizRotus
Air cooled turbocharged flat six. Possibly from a Porsche.

3dzapper
The note says something about a "Polish ham plate". When I saw the red heads I thought it was one of these but there aren't enough holes: Ferrari above. Rick Edit: Shelby 494 cu in. all Aluminum Can-Am Engine
Cal Blacksmith
A Porsch would be too easy, that might be a Subaru, they made a turbo flat 6.
flannj
But isn't this engine air cooled? Which makes turbocharged Porsche most likely.
CECAA850
Looks like port fuel injection, air cooled, turbo, flat 6. Corvairs were never injected, Ferrari didn't used to be a big proponent of turbos, Subaru motors never looked that good, I'm leaning toward Porsche although red really wasn't their color. Whatever it is it looks FINE. I give..............................
Cal Blacksmith
I think the red parts are throwing us off, they must be after market , there does indeed seem to be many after market parts on it, which means it could be anything from G.M. to Lycoming or Contentental
Ray Garrison
That looks like an early 911 Turbo to me, like around a '79 or so?
sunburnwilly
The first pic is unmistakably a Porsche , you can tell by the fan . The second pic is a Ferrari .
cmdridq
I doubt anyone would recognize this engine.

flannj
That would be from a Skyline. Lots of horsepower, not much torque without the turbo.
