"It is

of my roommate and not mine" Watch your sentence structure young man, you would have us believe that the fine sample of womanhood on the poster would be your roommate??? LOL Who is that girl anyway? I bet like 12 guys here are looking for that poster right now!

Anyway, great photos man, and I love the tale of the journey. The bridge photos and tales of peoples reactions are priceless! Those boxes are massive- I'd love to have seen the look on your face as you towed your new beauties home. They sure look massive in your dorm room, I'd suggest that items like the beds and beanbag are helping your concrete room's acoustics. There's probably enough stuff lying around for plenty of diffusion as well.

Your room is gonna rock dude, Happy 21st Birthday and don't spill any beer on those 83's. Personally I'd get that top scratch taken care of and then have glass tops made up for them, just in case.

That cherry wood is certainly beautiful. I bet most of them sell in the cherry.

Congrats on a great purchase!

*droooooooooooooool* shes a beaut!

Like the others, I await a full review after some extensive listening. Of course, a review after they have been broken in would give a better opinion of the speakers. Man... no dorm room I ever knew had some stunning speakers like those, if you had lived in my residence last year I would've made a new best friend. Our dorm rooms were limited to cheap Altec 2.1s and Cyber Acoustics.. urrgh. You're welcome to be my roomate anyday ;) if it so happens that you move to Canada. Nice pics, love the look of that 8' woofer. I think the 8inch woofer delivers very "smooth" bass, IMO. You're one lucky dude, just make sure any prospective g/f doesn't see them as a jealousy factor ;)

well. The echo is almost non existant, I would have expected alot worse.

They are getting louder? the more hours I put them on... At first I was

doing oh -30 to be moderately loud during the daytime, but at night I

was scared to hit -50! I think the speakers is starting to losen up.

Actually I think my roommate is going to go nuts when he sees the boxes

and speakers.... I mean he was like when I told him I brought it, "Umm

so it's going to go on the desk right?" He is the same kid that decides

that the promedia ultra I let him borrow should be pushed into the wall

(the side of the heatsink and port) due to asthetic reasons. "Then I

said you place it against the wall, I break your face [;)]" He is going

to totally spaz, before he was happy with just some pair of generic

white speakers, actually he thought that the distortion was ok.....

Then he goes off to claim that at home my parents have an awesome

stereo system..... Bose 1-2-3............................ You get the

picture. BTW I think I am unchallenged at my school for speakers now!

hahaha that is a good laugh, being that I just pulled an all nighter

because I was procrastinating on the paper that is due today.... I had

a very good reason! The RF-83 was calling me all day! BTW it smells

like wood in my room heh like cherry and gloss. It sorta is nice but it

does make me a bit nausiated.........

Also Colter, did you sleep tonight?

Congrats Jay and thanks for the photos.

Speaking of photos....anyone else notice that optical illusion that Jay's pics show as well as the ones on the Klipsch website? You know, the one where it looks like the woofer is poking out like.......uh......er......uhhhhhh.....a woman on a cold day?? [:)]

Jay,

So glad everything worked out. Sounds like they were worth the effort [:)] --they sure look purdy, if I do say so myself.

Amy I want to personally thank you again for tracking these down!

Also get the bucket of cold water Amy, these people are way to hot for my roommate's poster!

I bought my Cornwalls the summer before my Junior year. I lived off campus so they never saw a dorm room. They did survive 4 different college houses and multiple roommates.

And yes, big Klipsch speakers are chick magnets at college.[;)] Go get em tiger!
