formica Posted May 5, 2006 Share Posted May 5, 2006 Craig... Having experienced this myself just two months ago when my dad passed away suddenly, I can honestly say I feel your pain. I also realise that there is nothing I can say that'll make you feel better. You must remember though, that our parents live on through us in both the genes and life lessons they have passed on to us, and rest assured of your dad's pride in the person he has helped you become. My grand'pa was my best friend and I vividly remember my every emotion when he passed away a couple of years ago. Mortality, continuity, and responsibility take on an almost shocking focus and change in meaning.
