    • Ah yes... Crossfeed.   My astell&kern dap has that feature. I don't have anything like that for my room system. I am not sure I would use it meself as I openly clock my speakers to create an even wider Soundstage.
    • I can't find any installation instructions for those speakers. Are there any? Do they require removing any insulation behind the speakers? Is there a speaker enclosure to mount in the stud wall?   Do you have to specify the resistance rating of the speaker in the setup menus?   Those are reasonably efficient speakers. However, I can't find specs for the receiver stating North American all channels driven; they just spec two channel output. I'd still expect the receiver sufficient for your application.
    • to the man who doesn't have to do it.
    • Yes that would be a balance control to my way of thinking and also very important. Panning is different.
    • Hello, I went with below setup for my new home theater and the room size is 18'W X 21'LX8'H. I feel like the front and center speakers seems under powered. Any suggestions? Does anyone own PRO-250RPW's and are you happy with the power of these speakers?   LR: PRO-250RPW LCR (2) Center: PRO-250RPW LCR (1) SIDE SURROUNDS: PRO-250RPW LCR (2) BACK SURROUNDS: PRO-250RPW LCR (2) HEIGHT: PRO-180RPC (4) SUBS: RP-1200SW (1) AVR: ONKYO TX-RZ70
    • Thanx everyone. I talked with Joe and between the time he posted last night and when we talked this afternoon his partner put a hold on the speakers due to their size and the new furniture they are getting.     That said, still for sale.
    • On the fly independent channel gain...     Normally I just set it and forget it after the image in centered.
    • Well I got my two SE84UFO amps after the 2 1/2 year wait.  I'll just save a lot of typing and state that I have them connected to a pair of lascalas in monoblock fashion and both amps hum exactly as the last 6 pages of this thread have discussed.   I have tried everything mentioned here and I am absolutely positive the hum is simply a design defect as both amps do it about the same with no inputs connected.  Tubes have been swapped from amp to amp and some have been replaced (input tubes and rectifiers).  Nothing changed.   Before doing the above I tried with and without preamps, DAC direct, using just each amp in stereo.   I replaced RCA cables, and Y jacks (for monoblocking).  I tried cheater plugs.   I have also read everywhere on the internet about Decware hum and in Decware forums.   The darn things have the sweetest sound, tight bass, 3D sound stage, extreme clarity...........and in between songs hum loudly in the room like a defective unit.   My speakers have had recent Klipsch K77 and K55 replacements from Klipsch parts, known good K33 woofers, and the AA networks have had the JEM caps installed.  My NBS preamp and VRD monoblock combo on these lascalas is near dead silent.   I still am not sure what I am going to do with these.  I have a lot of time off around Xmas and plan some measurements to understand if this is 60, 120, etc.........and how loud it actually is.  I know this hum won't be going away.
    • The MWM cabinets use two 15 inch K-43 woofers. Those cabinets are very easy to build and provide some of the cleanest bass I've heard. The MWM will not fit through many doors, so it would make more sense to buy or make the MWM singles as they will fit through doors and are easier to carry. I had mine in a former two car garage, approx. 20x21 feet with 9 foot ceilings.
    • I am curious do any of you have a "pan" control on your rigs? Put some left signal into the right and vice versa. Fixes mixes that are spread too wide. After all we are only hearing what some recording engineer thought we should hear.
