On our recent roadtrip we are "Good Tourist" and spread/spend likely more than one should. However spending a few days in a small town "New Florence" we had time to run around and sample life in the outback, finding a Local pub and talking to locals, they give us a wealth of info and Taste as to local fair. yes we bought "Shine" as well as Wine,Gin, Vodka, all from local distilliers, and it is good. However wile shopping we seek something we just do not have at home. This would be things made in state and just not found anywhere else. At this time we have now finished TWO "Jars" that can only be found in MO. Available on the web, because i just ordered today from both. First up: BBQ Sauce, and by far the best we have ever had. Pass then. Those speakers have probably been DJ'd hard over the years and there's no telling what you're going to find inside. I bought some KP-301-II's that looked really nice. They had 2 different crossovers (one only worked occasionally and was for a I instead of a II) and 2 different tweeter diaphragms. There's a reason you can't demo them. I normally bring a chip amp with a cigarette lighter adapter with LONG speaker wires and an ipod to demo speakers so there's no excuse. You can talk him down even further once you point out what all doesn't work.

Couple years back the wife was going in for a pulling, the day before i chucked up a 1/2" carbide bit in my Milwalkee 28V, sitting on the patio/coffee, reached under my chair and hammered (you know the sound) a hole in the Slab, told her we are going to save some money babe. Dan neglected to inform me we were climbing into the Zoo, and indeed right into a cage, some kind of african wild dog and there were a lot of them, trust me, we made it to the theater fence in record time and both our legs were bleeding from critter bites and the fence. needless to say that was just about the last time i was a mindless kid. Whelp, got started on the 5.1 and employing the 5.5's straight to Plasma. Nice enough for HT but builtin amp not up to snuff when going toward loud in a 2 channel, cuts out around 2/3 volume. Nevermind that as just gassing around. Progress though!

Okay, I actually found yet another LS I on eBay, at the right price. This will make a total of four. This particular unit is a little rougher then the other three, but I am confident that Greg Roberts will be able to bring it back (given that he has managed to restore professional units with the hand-holds in the sides!). Here it is: Wish me luck! I am already bothering Greg with stupid questions, which he has shown a remarkable amount of patience in answering. We will wait until his move is complete before delivering the speakers to his new location and starting the gut-rehab.
