So what do you call a retired guy from N.C. that blew off the Hope gathering last year and hasn't committed to attending the recently announced 2017 event? Scared that his martini's won't stack up to the masters mix. LMAO hope you will be attending and not make up excuses this year, after all, it's not like you have to be somewhere else.6 points

Ok guys and gals. I'm putting together the Tentative Attendee List for the 2017 Pilgrimage/Hope Gathering/Employee Luncheon to be held in Hope, AR April 27-30, 2017. If you want to be included on this list please comment below and include the number of guests possibly attending with you. This is the 71st anniversary of the Khorn! The registration fee for attending will be $50 per person. This will include the Employee Luncheon to be held at the Hope plant on Friday. This will cover the cost of one attendee and one employee. Early check in will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at a location to be determined. This event includes, the Klipsch Heritage Museum Association's ceremonial ribbon cutting/transfer of keys to be held on Thursday. Tours of the Hope Facility on Friday, including listening room time, question and answer/lab tour with Roy, Rogelio Delgado Jr., museum tour, question and answer with Paul Jacobs, CEO of Klipsch, dinner on Friday and Saturday night at Rodney's Place (worth the $50 bucks by itself), live bands on Saturday...too much more to list. There is primitive camping onsite at Rodney's with full use of restrooms and shower facilities. A limited number of RV sites are also available. In addition several hotels offer accommodations in Hope, AR with Super 8 charging approximately $50 per night including a continental breakfast. We will also be offering a tour and lunch at Old Washington on Thursday morning (prior to the Museum ceremony) for a very nominal additional cost. If you haven't visited this site...you are missing out. Anyone that attended last year can tell you this is an event you don't want to miss!6 points

Morning all. A good Saturday to all. Just catching up on all the posts. Haven't been posting a whole lot just so crazy busy at the shop. Was able to go out to dinner with my old shop helper and his wife last night. We went to the steak house, we had to send The BOSS's steak back twice. It was over cooked. While she was waiting for her new steak I gave her half of mine. When she got the 2nd steak that one was also over done.... sent that one back.... By the time the 3rd steak came out we wee done eating. They wrapped that steak up to go and comped two dinners for us. Yea we got two "free" dinners but I would rather have all the food cooked right so we can all enjoy our meal at the same time... oh well.. Unfortunately we will not be making the trip to Hope again. It's the same thing as last year... The BOSS's mom is doing much better but as we saw last year her health can take a turn for the worst in a short time. If anything was to happen to her while we were away The BOSS would be no good. One day it'll be in the starz for us to make it.. Next weekend I will be hooking up with a few guys from thecarversite down on Alexandria Va. One of the guys is having a open house jam session at his place. I will be representing the Klipsch community by bringing a pair of KP-362's... Oh yea... They'll put some thump in there chest... Gonna also bring a big Carver to drive em... a TFM-42. That'll get those thing pumping.. OK gang, check in later... a good weekend to all.. MKP :-)5 points

TGIF...Enjoying a brisk 45 here at the moment also. Listening to some music and reading all your posts of course. Best to you and you folks north of me stay warm and enjoy the break from the heat. May go hunting with brother. Usually over the last few years. am just spotting deer for him. Lately been feeling a little friskier than usual, as is usually the case this time of year. Fur rising on my back but, I will never forget the good times to be had here knowing we are together on some things that matter. A nice cocktail, some espresso, cables because we support the cause, and just plain old good times...Thanks all!5 points

That's true, it would be hard to imagine both of them being there. Tarheel is afraid the LF will find out he's one of us, can't really blame him, and BSM would come if we had perfect weather and a coastline.4 points
-
@Pete H does this mean you will be attending this year??? @Tarheel I see your avoiding the issue at hand!4 points

Yes. Didn't drive anywhere, but the truck is ready when the ice on the streets melt.4 points

Where you be? That there is some of winters worst weather - good luck.4 points

Down, well it's filled with ice now, hate when that happens. It does give a nice textured effect. Edit; how were you able to put the window down, warm the inside of the truck ?4 points

lol lol My system.... for me that would be systems... I have been in this hobby for over twenty five years. I rarely sell any of the gear that I have gotten over the years. Yes I'm obsessive compulsive.... OCD. When I latch on to something I like it just takes over... I'm also a very lucky man to have a wife that loves the stuff I'm into. She has come with me on all the audio gear adventures. Even before my audio addiction I was into 4X4's off road driving. I was into Toyota Landcruiser's... at one point of my Landcruiser addiction I owned 13 of these trucks in a six month time frame. I got zoned at my house... yea I was of off the chain.... I had my truck, my wife had her own truck that I built for her and we had a wagon Landcruiser for the family ride. Now I don't have a lot of money.... this was long before these trucks became as valuable as they are today... Wish I still had them all... Back to audio... I still have my 1st amps that I got new some 25+ years ago, two Adcom 555ii's. My wife found our 1st Klipsch (LaScala's) in the Sunday paper and we still have them. I'm always swapping gear around, just playing with it. My wife and I own a auto repair shop. At the shop is a set of KP-362's driven by a big Carver TFM-42 and there's a few subs in the corners. We spend a lot of time at the shop so it makes sense to have good music there. I'm also very lucky to have a house that I can use this gear in, the living room is quite large to have most of my gear in use. The unused gear lives in my daughters old room... Even the deck has it's own system, some EVi's with a Crown amp for some power to em. Our latest addition to audio gear is our JBL set-up. This truly on another level. I'm not a "tech" guy so I had to have my audio buddy help set this system up. A Crown Macro Tech drives the bass bins and a Carver PM-1.5 drives the horns,, all running through a DBX Drive Rack X-over. Here are a couple pics of some of my gear.. It's taken me over twenty five years to get to this point... and I might add.... I don't smoke..... never have! I don't drink ..... I stopped over 27 years ago I don't use drugs.... stopped that also.. and I don't have a car payment... never have, I drive old junk.. all I do is buy audio gear.... hey I gotta do something MKP :-)3 points

Awesome! I will add your name to the Tentative Attendee List! Looks like we are up to almost sixty attendees already and we just posted the dates for the 2017 Pilgrimage last week. I'm hoping we exceed last year's attendance record! Hoping to get Tentative Attendee List posted today. It's growing by the minute!!!3 points

I was re-calibrating the system this week. I went thru some of my favorite demo clips and Olympus Has Fallen did the deed. It was loud because the wife told me to turn it down or I need to do something or, I will be buying her some new things. Later on I notice the R front height speaker was not working. Well, it works but the volume is real low compare to the left. So, I kinda broke it. I committed a cardinal mistake, I forgot to switch the speakers to SMALL after the calibration. Luckily the company will try to fix it or replace it since it is still under warranty, ouch! I've never killed a speaker before, sob, sob.2 points

Same here but 45 and windy, had to put on a jacket. But I have to admit it feels better than 98 and humid. Any kind of seafood is fine with me, almost any kind, tried eel sushi once, never again.2 points
