  9. GetIt @billybob with those powerful tunes! Was looking for the new version of the Dead that's been out a few years... Found this, and I'll quote what I found at the top of the comments: @nsh1980gmail 9 months ago Letting Billy use an electric guitar is like letting mike Tyson bring a baseball bat into the ring. Couldn't have said it better! Wish that old guy on the hill would hear this and take it to heart. No I do not mean Brandon, I mean the one from SC. Must have been Lord of the Rings night up in Asheville!

  16. Well, it was a pleasant enough day to put a couple hundred miles on the ol ‘burb while taking care of some issues at one of my remote offices. Back home now with a sip of bourbon and it’s about time to get the kids to bed.

  25. Got to try to eat a square meal at least three times a week. That was two days of `em. Just watched this for the third time free on yt. It's a close to decent flic except for the subject matter! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0195234/

  27. Not exactly on yt but recognize this down in the bar? Can't get a screenshot of it whole screen, it shows up blacked out. Aw Heck the title is up there. Hubba Hubba on the side with pain. For over a decade I've not seen the scene where Porter goes to Steckers office and takes down the linebacker-large guy at the front desk! Was it prejudicial? Must have been deemed that because of all the other violence left intact in the great flick! Yep, seen it thirty times probably and still like it. Wonder if it's cheap to buy, and what other movies have been ruined by dummies that do not like the flicks they ruin?

  28. A blast from the past - who was there ? Keep in mind that Bach was an instrument builder and developed many organs. So he probably would have approved of this

  29. We’ve had covid at my house recently and I’m still feeling a little bit more tired than usual but not as bad as the first time I had it. It’s 28° and clear here this morning and we are supposed to hit 55° this afternoon.

  30. Hey guys, I read your suggestions for Miles Davis albums: I'm going to look at these records online and I'll probably put some of them on my wish list: thanks https://www.milesdavis.com/music/releases/

  32. Dean, you owe me a pizza. I've been telling you about these drivers for some time now and I didn't need a graph to verify what my ears were telling me. LOL The graph should also dispel the rumor that the old K-55V phenolic diaphragms get hard with age causing then not play to specification and need to be replaced. I think the old K-55V did quite well against the brand new driver. Thanks Mike for doing the measuring. Hopefully it puts this topic to rest.

  33. Seriously? 😂 That ain't happenin here. I came into the world nekkie and I'll prolly head out the front door nekkie when my ticket gets punched. I've got better things to do w/7-8k a month. Here in Ohio that's the "elected officials" game. Building those places and rapin wallets. I'm opting out! You're halfway there already. Ya got the hot tub. Just put the tennis court in out back, sit in that wheelchair in a vegatative state and smile. Just put the lid on your "Stanley , Starbucks or gas station mugga" so ya don't spill the coffee or bourbon when ya drop it. I've got faith in ya brother. Chill... 💪 😂 Do or die w/my coffee maker now. EVERY time I brew a pot the CLEAN light comes on. I've cleaned this thing about 5 times yet it continues. In "Run it til it pukes" mode now. Haven't seen that @grasshopper lately. Anyone check to see if he might have locked himself in the shed? Maybe he got a job werkin on a food truck that was in town for the festival? Awfulllllllll, quiet. 😂 Duckburg has mid to high 40's and pushin 50's coming up. Carry on.

  36. A beautiful concert by Donald Byrd at the Olympia in 1958: I like the style of this reissue: the record as originally in 58: the Brunswick labels are magnificent = see my photos, the beautiful original photos of JP Leloir, the quality of the cover, the glossy front photo, the "50s" style back, the antistatic lined quality "SAM" sleeve... Music, I'm discovering at the moment: I like https://londonjazzcollector.wordpress.com/2013/04/13/new-donald-byrd-quintet-byrd-in-paris-1958-brunswick/ https://www.discogs.com/fr/release/22148350-Donald-Byrd-Byrd-In-Paris-Volume-1 😍

  43. @mustang_flht some good stuff. I'm kinda partial to the big man, Tal, and Nathan East. Slip to the 30:00 minute mark for a nice lil tune w/Joe Walsh (he's sneaky like that) on the lead doing "Love Is A Heart Attack." Joe didn't even hesitate and jumped right in there! It dropped in 1970 but I had mine a bit earlier. It's a great combo! John NEVER missed! Oh yea, turn it UP! Tal Wilkenfeld? Pffffft, off the charts imo. With Jeff Beck @ the 2007 Crossroads Festival in Chicago. 32 minutes of her w/Beck that day? Watch her go! Nathan East? Totally solid. Gotta remember, in my opinion, those great drummers and super bass players are the heart of any band especially rock n roll. Just a few favs of mine. Everyone's got theirs.

  44. Peter, It's nice to see another linux user. I've been using an Alix PC connected to Havana DAC. This is a tiny PC that costs about $100. I am running a version of linux called VoyageMPD on it. All my CDs (about 500) are ripped in FLAC and residing on a Synology NAS. I use iPod/iPad with an excellent app called MPoD as a remote control. I also tried SB Touch to compare but I like the sound I get from Alix better. Kudret
