  1. I have this feeling that my luck is none too good This sword here at my side don't act the way it should Keeps calling me its master, but I feel like its slave Hauling me faster and faster to an early, early grave And it howls, it howls like hell I'm told it's my duty to fight against the law That wizardry's my trade and I was born to wade through gore I just want to be a lover, not a red-eyed screaming ghoul I wish it'd picked another to be its killing tool Black blade! Black blade! Forged a billion years ago Black blade! Black blade! Killing so its power can grow There's death from the beginning to the end of time And I'm the cosmic champion and I hold a mystic sign And the whole world's dying and the burdens mine And the black sword keeps on killing 'til the end of time Black blade! Black blade! Bringing chaos to the world we know Black blade! Black blade! And its using me to kill my friends Black blade! Black blade! Getting stronger so the world will end Black blade! Black blade! Forcing my mind to bend and bend The black blade Forged a million billion years ago My cosmic sword goes on for eternity Carving out destiny Bringing in the lords of chaos Bringing up the beasts of Hades Sucking out the souls of heroes Laying waste to knights and ladies My master is my slave Ha ha ah ha ah ha!

  12. What are you using to power your 396's? I'm considering putting mine back together to try them out with my new Carver 285 amplifier thinking it may open them up a bit over the 275 I was running before. The 396's were probably the hardest Klipsch speakers I've owned to drive my little Carver VTA-20 was not up to task at all and it ran my Chorus II's fairly well.

  22. I have it running La Scala AL5’s and now that it’s at about 25 hrs the unit is really settling down, at first I had to turn the Treble down and the bass up a bit using the tone controls, last night I zeroed out the treble and reduced the bass. I had read prior to purchasing that the A-S3200 takes about 50 hrs to break in and it’s seems to be following that. The one thing I really like about the A-S3200 is how quiet the noise floor is (the La Scala’s pick up everything) compared to my tube gear. At max vol with nothing playing I can’t hear anything from the tweeter with my ear against the gril. My tube amps, well that’s another story. I have Rythmik Audio 15” subs also attached to the preout and it drives them very well, just waiting on the heritage sub release to finish my speaker end game (and upgrade the La Scala’s once Chief releases the upgrade kit)

  23. Stumbled across a good Facebook deal yesterday, didn’t realize how good until I got home and looked up the model numbers. 4 aw-650’s for 70$ all in working and great condition. Only think is I kind of gotten ahead of myself and have no source/power for them.. I was hoping to wire in parallel but the manual says that’s a no go. So what amp/receiver do I need to power them? Budget friendly options are really all I’m able to afford at the moment. It’s for the backyard so I’m not too worried about fidelity, just want to have loud music when required. I’m not a complete audio amateur but wattage/ohms/all that shit still breaks my brain sometimes lol any and all advice would be infinitely appreciated. And my apologies if i don’t reply frequently as I am a paramedic and my schedule is chaotic to say the least. Thanks!

  27. I've had enough. Going to kick this system to the curb and just put it out with the trash! I don't think I have ever heard such clarity and presence in my life. I feel lucky. The musicians are here standing in front of me playing. I am connected to the music in a way I have not felt before.

  28. One speaker per audio channel please 🙂 If'ns you're feeling the urge to play two sets of speakers for two channel stereo, I might suggest that it's time for a larger, more capable singular pair of speakers. If you compare "Fortes Only" at 8:58-9:15ish vs both speakers at 10:00-10:15 the"effect" you get (a wah-wah-wah-wah) on the "both" becomes apparent how this can "mess" with things a bit. That's another interesting experiment. There was a guy on here years ago who used to do this with Cornwalls (IB Slammin or something). All the same speakers so it was easier to get them to "line up". ....and that's really "where it's at". So long as the amp can drive the load, no foul trying here, even if we learn some "works/not works" along the way.

  30. Just watching a video about Adam Trombly (http://projectearth.com/about/adam-trombly), who was a friend of John Lilly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_C._Lilly), staying at Lilly's house when diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and 2-4 months to live, and in constant pain. An Iranian doctor suddenly arrives at the house, having been given a message during meditation to show up with a medical bag filled with Ketamine. As Adam lays on the floor of John Lilly's living room, "with my feet pointed between his two big Klipschorn speakers there..." (24:35) Ep 6 - Adam Trombly Recalls Stories of John C Lilly

  31. Just curious if anyone has heard any of the Danley Labs products, and what was their impression. They were recently installed at a local college football stadium, and were said to be impressive. A Youtube video was made of the test, but you can't tell much about sound quality from a video.

  32. LSU Tiger Stadium "...includes eighteen Jericho Horns and six “Rock Monster” subwoofers. Fourteen Danley J3-64 full-range Jericho Horns comprise the bulk of the new system, while four Danley J4-31 high-frequency Jericho Horns contribute to the system’s amazing high-end throw. Six Danley TH-812 “Rock Monster” subwoofers fill out the bottom of the system with thunderous low end. Four Danley SH-96s, four Danley SH-64s, four Danley SM-80s, and twenty Danley SH-MINIs provide fill for areas not directly covered by the Jericho Horns. A 32-channel Yamaha LS9 provides a familiar front end, while a QSC Q-Sys processing system feeds twenty-four Lab.gruppen PLM 10000Q and 20000Q amplifiers behind the scenes." http://blog.svconline.com/briefingroom/2014/01/15/lsu-roars-with-danley/

  33. I'm sorry you took it that way, I just thought it would be pretty obvious to someone that calls themselves an "advanced member" with the thousands of posts written here about this very subject. Unfortunately, it's easy for either of us to come off in ways that were not meant to be, and this is clearly the case. I originally misinterpreted your intent as total sarcasm base on your "excuse my ignorance" opening statement along with your Advanced Member title. No offense meant either way, I'm sure. No bother at all, we are all here to figure all this out. ClaudeJ1, I owe you a very sincere apology for my rude reply. You were correct. I was wrong to take offense. Please forgive me. I'm truly embarrassed to have started something that has taken away from the topic of the post. My behaviour was inexcusable.

  35. Wall mounting KL-650-THX's and ceiling mounting (fly) KL-525-THX's. Any suggestions on best hardware. Spoke with rep @ Omnimount, who indicated they no longer produce mounts to hold speakers of that size. Any help would be appreciated.

  36. What do you think of a Primaluna Prologue Three preamp with a B&K 200.2 main? I'm sure this might go well with my Cornwalls, refined, with sufficient bass.
    1 point
  37. Wow, Cornscalas? Got the best of both worlds; I can only imagine how good that sounds, Congrats! Passive pre's never crossed my mind, I'll have to check them out. I heard that B&K's are pretty nice (on the warm side). I'm thinking a decent laid back passive pre (carbon-based - still want tight bass) with B&K 125.2 or 200.2? Probably not the 200.2, since even the 125.2 would be plenty for the Cornwalls.

So...my sugestion is to find an old pair, built after 1989 with AK-3 crossovers and also with desirable ElectroVoice crossover. cheers
