  1. Ya know, Big Tex looked even bigger when I was a kid in Dallas.
  2. Andy, Many of the old regulars are here but remain in the back ground these days. (we met at Father Dee's in '04) Seems so long ago, but just like yesterday. Glad that you are back home safe. Look for a PM. tc
  3. Who you calling old? Prayers lifted Deano. Fight! tc
  4. Update...... I have been listening to Khorns for 40+ years. Bob's closed back units with horn, network, driver upgrades just blew me away. I never thought that a corner horn could have so much impact! tc
  5. Well hopefully Morrison doesn't pull out his **** on stage.
  6. Dots what I was thinking. Good Lord Father D ! You and fini make my head hurt. Ya big luggs. tc
  7. Bob, The only way to get over the loss of a family member dog.......is to get a new puppy. Congrats on Cody. He looks to be a sweet kid. Warm regards, tc
  8. Bob, Lets not forget the Saul Marantz first SS preamp and the three matching SS mono blocks. The 7T preamp, with the 60wpc mod 15's under a face plate for flanking and the 60wpc mod 14 for the center.[] tc
  9. No answer, but aren't you a flash from the past..........
  10. I had the oppertunity to listen to the 904, Jub, and the 415 bins in the same day. All with K402 atop. Just IMHO the DIY twin 15" driver Cornscala DBB bass bin is a much better sounding LF unit than the 904. I can't say why,but only what my ear told me. The cabinet volume is the same. Could be a difference in port size or the drivers wired in parallel vs series. Just don't know. ????? The sweet Jub LF is just beautiful and is a given. That said, the 415 bin is a horse of a different color. It forms a very nice bubble of sound with the K402. The best mate with K402 that I have listened to so far. (other than the Jub bin) The 415 has a quility that none of the others exhibit. It has the LF reflex "slam factor". In your face, a boot in the chest. Minimal woofer excursions. 107db efficient as I recall. Only my observations and for what they are worth..Hope they help. tc
  11. Just MHO but do whatever it takes to get them up and running. There is a Lux forum. Ask those guys. Those amps are keepers! tc
  12. batt, Welcome to this place. I have not a clue as to HT, but know Cornwalls very well. You are on the right track as an extra 3/4" of plywood on the backs will help the bottom end. BUT at volume, the K600 mid horn can be a nasty little thing and chew on your pant legs. Don't think a driver change will help much. Just IMHO. tc
  13. Seti you win the prize. The Rock just broke the record. 114 and still climbing. [:'(][:'(] tc
  14. Yea man, and that doesn't factor the heat index. 109 over here in NWA. It's just crazy. In the winter we set a record with -14 and 22" of snow. Looks like we will set another one today.[8o|][:@][8o|][:@] tc
  15. Ya know, that old AR TT has to be the biggest bang for the buck ever made. tc
  16. " but I have this silly lifewish" Mike, you are new to this place. Give it some time. You will be willing to risk your life for audio just like the rest of us.[H] tc PS: Welcome
  17. Many of us use cheater plugs. I live in a 40yo house so I put in a GFI outlet where my line conditioner plugs in. I'm still kicking. tc
  18. "The Cornscala lets builders go from mild to wild." .........and then there is the Cornscala DBB..........
  19. The only part of a Cornscala that is like a CW is the 6cf box and the port size. Most have a different bin shape and different port locations. Few use Klipsch drivers or networks these days. No prob. tc
  20. I listened to jub clones with 511b's and 902 drivers. Very nice mids and no shortage of top end. Bet old Tom has a pair laying around that you might try. ?? But with the right set up, the K402's are the bomb. tc
