  1. Revelations: The Final Four will sound terrific through my Khorns! Go State! (Class of 79).
  2. I used a Rotel with my K-horns for awhile.
  3. Heresy and MC250 (or MC2505) work well together. I have a MC250 in mono working with a Heresy as a center channel right now.
  4. I made the mistake of using a pair of Heresy's for rear surrounds with my KLF-30's. Caused all kinds of troubles...by getting me hooked on Heritage speakers. Now look what I'm running. [] BTW the Heresys did a terrific job as rear surrounds with the Legend speakers.
  5. That seems a little harsh. I have a McIntosh MAC1700 that was gone over by Terry DeWick. It sounded terrific with my Heresy II's. It is now doing duty in my studio setup with Cornwall Decorators. That little receiver has knocked the socks off of a Carver Preamp and Amp. Can't say I have compared it to a Sansui, but it took a McIntosh C2200 and MC275 to get me to remove it from my upstairs rig.
  6. Nice table. Just got a TD125 Mk II for a little more than you paid. Working on bringing it up to snuff.
  7. Michael, Mine has the TP 16 tone arm.
  8. Hate to resurrect an old thread. Reading trough it again I am struck by the thought that perhaps the old 1000uf 25v motor board electrolytic caps were bad. Replacing them might have helped. I have a Thorens TD-125 MKII I am restoring. Capacitor replacement is on my to do list.
  9. Another Outlaw fan. Eagerly awaiting the 997. BTW Outlaw has some killer deals now on the 970 ($379, free shipping and I believe $200 off the New 997 when it ships).
  10. I can say that Heritage speakers are better than Legend speakers for HT. I had KLF-30s and a KLF-7C. They don't match my K-horns and Heresy center. No experience with Reference speakers.
  11. Can't go wrong with McIntosh. However, you may suffer from sticker shock. Could try Outlaw. They have some killer sales going on.
  12. Too bad it isn't on April 22, 23. I'll be in St. Louis for meetings. Never been to St. Louis.
  13. The author of REW is open for suggestions to enhance his program. I was involved in testing the latest version.
  14. No email about them coming. Just showed up on the front porch. Listened to the mono Doors. No noise, no popping. Sounded great! I guess with the extra album covers I could frame them. Not sure what the ethical thing to do with the 3 LPs they replaced. They are a little noisy but not too bad. Hmmm......... BTW I did not receive the bonus album.
  15. Received 3 replacement LPs today. Hope they are quiet. Terrific customer service by Rhino.
  16. Here is a good solution from Terry DeWick. "For chrome I use Wenol, it gets the rust and oxidation. For the glass I use Turtle Wax Carnuba, can use it on painted surfaces just don't rub it a lot or you will end up with a beautiful gloss finish. For general dirt I use clear Ammonia, is very gentle on lettering, both the Wenol and Turtle Wax can eat at painted lettering if you rub too hard, the metal ID/information plates are safe. Do not use Windex, or 409 type cleaners as they attack lettering and painted surfaces."
  17. The six wooden cabinets are worth $900 alone. Total package must be worth over $2000. Offer him $190? Are you serious?[st]
  18. Hooked them up to my McIntosh MAC1700....they sound great! Terrific imaging, terrific slam from the bass. Seem very accurate with female vocals. On par with the pair of Cornwalls I have upstairs! Now to figure out what to do with them.
  19. If you like Delta Blues try this Grammy award winning CD.
  20. My MC275 didn't make and unwanted sound with my Khorns or Cornwall's. I think they sound great!
