  5. I understand your dilemma, I have a 16 month old.........I never have the time to just sit and listen to records and fool around with all my audio gear. I am sure those LS sound wonderful. Good luck with your sale. [Y]
  6. I like my Chorus speakers more than my Forte IIs as well. I wonder if I like the horn as others have said, I like them more than the Cornwalls I used to have.....I know it sounds crazy but it's a great speaker.

  12. Cornwalls are hard to beat, they pack a mean punch......they used to rattle my house like crazy. Welcome to the forum.
  13. I use a Klipsch 15" sub (can't remember the model # [*-)] ) and it really sounds nice with H1s.
  14. I would love to have the Shorthorn. I told my father in-law who lives in St. Charles to get his *** over there and buy some of your stuff.
  15. Costco chicken.... Excellent... I agree........we eat one a week, and then use the bones for chicken stock. That $5 chicken is hard to beat. 8 lbs of bones 2 lbs of mirepoix Handfull of fresh parsley 12 whole peppercorns 2 gallons cold water Bring to a boil, then barely simmer for 4 hours. Strain. Throw solids away. Put stock into ziploc bags or containers of choice/ Use now or freeze for later use. jerol Hell yes, now we're talkin'! []
  16. You said it perfect to me, as long as it sounds good to you is what matters. Happy listening.

  18. Did you post in the garage sale thread? I wonder if Crites has something for them? Welcome to the forum. [Y]
  19. No disrespect to Mr. Crites, but the ALKs really made my Klipschorns come alive. I know they will do the same for the LS. [Y]
  20. Hi guys, the other day I picked up a Carver PM 200 for $90, so I thought it might be good to run my Chorus' with. After waiting a few days to get XLR cables so I could hook it up and listen I cleaned out all of the dust and resoldered a transistor that had broken off the board, I fired it up and got a audible hum coming from the amp near the big blue caps or power transitor, I had great sound out of one channel and the other was getting a pulsing hum noise that sounded like trying to tune a radio or something, now the amp is is protect mode and making this pulsing sound. Any Ideas? I would be fine with having to replace some caps or other components I just have no idead on where to start the diag process. Thanks.
