Right now I'm a wine and cigar guy. I'm enjoying an excellent Rose, with a nice PRINCIPE PRINCIPES CAMEROON PANETELA RUM (best said... a dominican soaked in rum). With some jazz playing on the system; what away to spend Wednesday evening.

I have a pair, and it interesting the break-in process. I never expected them to get better and better as I matched them with a huge variety of music styles. Every time I listen to them, the result is better.

Did you wind up getting a pair? What are your thoughts?

I will also add, that they are a little more power hungry than I first thought...

You can go either way with this. Look at turntables and how they are modified. I have a Thorens 125 MK II, that is so modified you can only tell by looking at the inside, where it came from. I prefer Klipsch as unmodified as possible.

I'm using an A/V set up that is capable of 7.1, but I am using it for 5.1 (for the time being). I may later hook up another amp and make it a true 7.1. 5.1 seems to be the norm, right now, for most all DVD's that I see.

I agree with this response... However, not all dealers are anxious or willing to let you do this; unless you are buying on the real high end. Good luck!

Goodness.. you are my new best friend. What a great day... I got to mow the grass and go to Costco today. However, things are looking better. The Mac and Klipsch equipment are warming up and, yes, the wine bottle is open also. Enjoy the chops....

I have a 2275 that I use with a pair of M10 speakers. There is something to that Marantz sound.

I agree,.. I have purchased two off ebay, both never used. You will need to use one on a regular basis if you plan to use your deck often.

In regard to your question about filling the stands with sand or similar material, first tell us where these speakers are to used. (ground floor, 2nd floor, slab foundation or pier & beam, etc.) This will make some difference in responses to your question.
