  1. Actually a quote from one of my favorite movies:
  2. First batch of new kits sold out but they don't ship until 7-31. Don't see how any Ebay offering could therefore be one of the new ones.
  3. When running off batteries there is no 60 Hz, so no hum. The underlying problem MAY still be present but we can't hear DC
  4. In many things🍻 "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" - sometimes attributed to Ben Franklin.
  5. @EndoYour original post showed a parallel connection of two separate amp channels to one speaker. If these are standard amps with no provision made to be run in parallel it is a BAD idea. The proper way to run an 8 ohm load in your diagram is to run it off the 8 ohm output instead of the 4 ohm output. And of course off just one amp channel.
  6. no. two 4 ohm capable amps tied in parallel does not equal a 8 ohm capable amp. The best outcome of this would be no damage, the worst could be one or two blown amps
  7. ? I am looking at the ART website at the documentation (block diagram) of the Cleanbox Pro. I don't see how you would get any unbalanced output from the unbalanced input unless you connected the balanced XLR out to the balanced XLR in with a cable. 💡💡 Ok here it is from the manual: Inline Balanced or Unbalanced Level/Gain Control 1. Loop unbalanced outputs to unbalanced inputs to provide an inline balanced level / gain control. 2. Loop balanced outputs to balanced inputs to provide an inline unbalanced level / gain control. Is this what they did? I do not own one of these but looks like gain should have been adjustable if hooked up this way.
  8. Yea I think it's because my room is so bright (many hard surfaces). Hopefully someday I will tackle that situation also
  9. @Deang Thanks for the correction. I remember you asking about peoples settings awhile back and I thought mine were not the norm.
  10. Call me crazy, I run my BMS4592 mid driver on Dave's large eliptrac lens down 13.7 dB. This is on top of Lascala bass bins with KHorn bass bins in parallel tucked into corners. I think the BMS and B and C drivers are of similar effficiency.
  11. Yea it will blow after the tweeter to tell you "Your tweeter is blown" But seriously just get some better tweeters. Awesome score.

@BigStewMan Steve, if you are referring to my post earlier in this thread I'm sorry. I certainly did not mean it that way. That is an old Irish saying and has nothing to do with suicide. Again Best Wishes to you and yours. Eric

Uh....OK. All the best to you BSM.
  14. @The Dude Any reason to put electrical conduit in that trench before it's too late? Just wonderin' out loud.
  15. Just type the @ character then immediately type the first character of the persons name and suggestions will start coming up. The list will narrow as you continue typing the persons name. When you get who you're looking for just click their name and voila. @Speed who's your uncle?
  16. Can't remember exactly which "button" to press but when you do a "mixer" will come up in a pop up window that has faders you can adjust to raise(or lower) the input gain. This is in the XConsole app. The XConsole app is MUCH easier to navigate than trying to do it on the front panel IMHO. The "Meters" button will then bring up another pop up window that shows a more realistic picture of what the unit input and output channels are doing than the front panel meters.
  17. better put this on your message @dtel I would really like one also, pretty please.
