  1. Yes zero ohm resistors (shunts we call them) are used all the time on SMT boards. A board may be used in more than one product with minor alterations. The zero ohm resistors make those alterations easier.
  2. Now that I think about it, I apologize. With the money he probably had his will could say something like "Build a hospital" or some other good work that would glorify God.
  3. I am ignorant of Prince's personal life. Did he have children? If not who gives a rat's azz. where your assets go after your dead. Sorry, googled it, he had a son but the child died. Hmmm... maybe that is partially why he did not care about having a will.
  4. Ah...thank you...thank you very much(in my best Elvis voice).
  5. Yes David is going 3 way. He has the QSC "minnie me" from Parts Express. Coupled to a Faital HF140 driver. Its all active crossover, separate amps, dialed in with REW. Even a separate amp channel for each of the 4 woofers in the MWM bass bins. Truly superb.. dare I say over the top.
  6. Ok. Do you suggest any particular brand or model?
  7. Yabba dabba do!
  8. Met with fellow member DavidH to audition his awesome 5.1 HT on this past Saturday. David has K402s with K1132(?) drivers doing midrange duty on the L/R mains. This was my first experience with 402s. Wow. How accurate they sound and how wide the soundstage. David also has MWM clone bass bins(built just like DTEL'S I believe) on the L/R mains. Again wow, how effortless the bass sounded. We spent a good deal of our time together in 2.1(at my urging) so I could really take in the 402s and MWMs. The .1 was a Danley DTS 20, another wow, what a beast. Since it was all music(no movies) that things real potential was not completely demonstrated. David took some pictures of yours truly beside the Left main. I modeled my 70th Anniversary T. David's pix are from an Ipad, anyone feel free to rotate them please.
  9. It is an RCA plug with the center contact shorted to the shield(or through a low resistance). If you plug this into the input and the sub still hums the sub is bad.

  14. I am doomed to poor sound I guess. I have nothing but hard floors with wool rugs. I will not have vile carpeting in my house.
  15. JWC, I don't usually speak for someone else but I think Arash already completed his "Anahita" curved side LaScala: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/154102-anahita-speaker-project/?hl=anahita Correct me if I am wrong Arash

  17. Are we sure this is pure copper wire? Just curious.
  18. Again it makes no difference within reason. I've also heard so called golden ear people say not to coil up excess wire. At audio frequencies this also is rubbish. Cuz electrons don't like to go in circles, c'mon
  19. What length your speaker cables are, within reason if you need to go 50' so be it.
  20. those Niles and Russound products work with pair of speakers, its more for distribution audio. I need just 2 swtich of 5 channels each. I think its impossible 6 dpdt switches or relays will do this. Impossible, c'mon.
