Carl's F-20 build thread is a good one. Can't find it now. Almost convinced to go that route. It's bigger than a Tuba but peoples' impressions of the sound seem to match what I'm after. This is what sold me. Talked with Carl and Pete at the gathering about the f20 and it sounded like it was just what I was looking for. Pm Carl he will send you a link to his thread.

Agree with others on matching the front 3. I had a mismatch for a while and thought it sounded good. Then I finally built a match for my fronts, and WOW big change. Wish I would have done it sooner. As for Emotiva yes I love their products. I am fan boy I don't hide it. They have a great pre in the XMC-1 and are working on all the upgrades for Atmos. I love the xpa-5 and xpa-2 and XMC-1 that I have. I do not like the fact that they dropped the xpa and xpr lines, not decided on the new line of amps. Still a bunch of xpa used gear for good prices right now.

+1 on the tubas they are great subs I have built several. Then Carl had to call me, and we had a lengthy talk on the F20. I have loved my tubas but my next build will be a F20. Carl gave me a very honest review ( Thank You) and I loved what he told me about them.

When I had mine the first thing I did was order the Crites replacement crossover. Definitely a better sound. Kind of when you give a hot rod a fresh tune up.

Big country tired of paying for little country. Think we will see more of this in the future. All major countries us, USSR, China, are supporting some smaller country somewhere. You can only print money for so long, then you have to worry about your own country. We don't need to be paying some country to like us.

Double check your speaker settings. It has a option to turn off or on the front and rear speakers and to set the size. Like I said the simple things get you from time to time,

Line output convertor, converts speaker level to RCA. I used a LC6 but if you need one get the LC7 it has the load feature built in.

Maybe means nothing, but when I wired my 2014 dodge truck I had the same problem. I was running speaker outputs to a LOC and then to my amps and could not get any sound. Found out that if the factory head unit did not see a load on the speaker output it would not send a signal. Tried a few different size resistors till I got it working. Also check your settings in the menu, sometimes even the best of us miss something simple.

If you can find a good deal on a UPA amp buy it, more than enough power to drive them to INSANE levels. With that being said I sold my UPA's and got a XPA-5 and a XPA-2 and am very happy with the change. Have never driven them past maybe 10 watts but love the headroom.
