  1. These are great stories and pictures. My daughter drools over our systems when she comes to visit and grew up with great sound. Right now her husband is overseas in the military, but should be back in the states within a year or so. I've set aside enough Klipsch and electronics to get 'em started with a fine system as soon as they are stateside again and can't wait to give it to them!
  2. Thanks for the explanation. The advertising is less than clear and I couldn't visualize where this product fit in to the overall scheme of things.
  3. Be careful, Moray didn't sign off his normal way... Beware.... lol... Has Moray been hijacked!!?? Omg!! Good eye.
  4. I'd be all over it if I wasn't well stocked with speakers. Why the low price? Possibly because Montrose is a small community away from the population centers of the front range. Not sure. Might check into it and see if he'd part out the sub.
  5. Undoubtedly just a spelling glitch.
  6. The Heritage sound of LaScalas will sound as good as the 30's but "different." I have Heritage (Cornwall III's) in a 2 ch system and grew up with K-Horns and LaScalas. Have the 30's in a HT system. They're all great, but have different sonic qualities. Best of luck on the purchase.
  7. As one of the least technical guys around here, or so I'm guessing, just want to say thanks for discussions like this one. It's understandable and tells me what's needed for an old pair of Heresys I plan on giving my daughter and son-in-law. Appreciate the education.
  8. You guys make me look like a rookie. I've got 12 klipsch. Cornwall III's (1pair), 2 pairs of Heresys, and 5 KLF's plus a klipsch sub in a 5.1 HT. Been more into upgrading electronics the past few years than speakers. For the right deal, that could change! Cheers to all.

    Why So Quiet?

Emmy? Isn't she a country singer?
  10. Perfect for a log cabin. Bet Abe Lincoln had those growing up......ya think?
  11. I leave 'em on unless I'm showing them to a friend. Around here, they'll get lost, damaged, etc. if I don't. You guys are tempting me, though......
  12. If he doesn't have a "good wall" for these speakers in his new place he must be moving into a tent. B.S. Thanks for the heads up.
  13. Does all of this make K-Horn owners cornernuts?
  14. Last Vegas. Sort of a feel-good movie for old farts with a great cast. Not high on the critics list, but we enjoyed it.
  15. Invite the guy over for some music or a movie!! Co-opting a potential enemy is a strategy that sometimes actually works.....
  16. The thread crapping and sharting on this forum ain't nothin' compared to some others.
  17. Great looking amp. I'll have to give Yamaha another chance one of these days (but probably not for $8K!). I've seen some really good reviews, too. My only experience with the brand was way back in the day and limited to cheapo receivers from big box stores, which was not a good indication of what Yamaha can do. Let us know how this beauty is working out for you.
  18. That's excellent. Don't worry about what you'll be called - the kid will name YOU!! At least my grandson did ... he couldn't say grandpa but he could say "Bee-pa" and that's what I've been ever since. At least for now, he lives with mom and dad overseas, but will be visiting in the next week or so. I am blessed and so are you. Just sit back and enjoy the journey. Chuck
  19. Let us know how your Belle "fix" is working out. Also more pics when you get them home. I passed on a pair maybe 5 or 6 years ago due to price and wish I hadn't. Really like my CW III's, but Belles with a musical sub .........
  20. You will not regret upgrading your center and making sure it's sonically matched to the rest of the front end. Exactly what I did with my klipsch KLF's,
  21. Good luck in the Springs. I'm a little envious. Great town and less rat race. Keep in touch.
  22. Great story. I wasn't overly interested in great singers as a kid as much as I was into what was "cool." In that regard I got to see (and hear) guys like Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Who in or close to their prime. Good stuff. Now I wish I could have heard Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Pavarotti and a few others back in the day.
  23. Sounds like you got a decent resolution. As a general matter, we shouldn't overlook leaving strong, negative feedback when warranted. Buyers like me check feedback and will pass on a purchase when the seller has any amount of recent negative comments which are of substance. Congrats on your settlement.
  24. if they're in good condition, that's a good price... someone should grab them.
