  1. I got the Pfizer a week ago and shortly after noticed I had the most severe and intense neck aches in recent memory. THEN I remembered I am looking up culling tent caterpillars off my birch tree branches several times a day! LOL!
  2. An object in possession seldom retains the lustre of an object in pursuit.

    Jokes?

    ...in three, two, one
  4. Those appear to have a different lens than the usual MAHL? Not elliptical. More like the K-77 lens.
  5. I literally flip-flopped several times on the final decision to take the shot of my choice. I believe myself to be a very healthy specimen. I also believe I had Covid just before Christmas 2019. I NEVER take a day off work for illness but I recall thinking if I wasn't off for holidays at the end of the week it was going to be a personal first. I was more drained than I had ever felt. Within a matter of days it was gone and the holidays were here. In the end, in my heart of hearts, I do not for a moment believe we have seen the end of diseases like Covid. And their progressively worse variants. I also think the mRNA approach is the answer. A little adjustment to the recipe at each stage of mutation. I have never taken a flu shot, but I may reconsider this in the future too. Having said that, it is curious how "the flu" was all but non-existent last year. Something worked there.

    What Is Wrong

...what we have here, is a failure to communicate...
  7. You could check “completed” listings on eBay. Hifishark is another go to.
  8. North of the border here, 55 years old, “essential” worker (aren’t we all?) FINALLY got my first shot after a month long wait. We wrote the book on nipping it in the bud up here... not. We are actually still locked down, no kidding. I been Pfizered, second dose not scheduled until September. That’s supposed to change though. I was indifferent at first, kinda like my take on crypto (lol), but we took a vote and my kids’ sway votes were democratically acknowledged. Worked all day without incident, actually had a very productive day? Hmmmm... a side effect? Feels like I bumped my arm on something, which is a normal occurrence on a good day. No scrapes or cuts is a bonus. The real issue that is troubling me is I’m starting to feel privileged.
  9. ...I think they are leftover from a Dr Seuss book turned broadway production
  10. If you have the ability you should buy those on principle alone.
  11. I bought a pair of Chorus 2 crossovers a while back for cheap on eBay to try out in some Cornwall cabs I play around with. Figured I would put new caps in while I playing around. The crossovers didn’t come on the terminal cup so I put them on a breadboard afterwards. As a sidenote if you go this route try to find non-ferrous screws (pending on these...). The toughest part of replacing the caps was actually removing them from the boards. Once you get that out of the way and bend the leads with a pair of needle-nose pliers they snug back in the board soldering is a snap. Had to stack a couple caps on end to squeeze them in the board.
  12. @jfjacques, another barometer of an items worth is how hard you will kick yourself over $100 if you don’t get them. I only regret the ones that got away.
  13. I just happen to keep my feathers numbered for such an emergency...
  14. This will not work. This is the discontinued Eminence APT-3 adapter. Still listed on the site that told me it was gone, lol. It would screw into the adapter above, BUT you would need to machine the circumference down to fit under the hood of a La Scala.
  15. @KT88, I have CT-120s and CT-125s. The driver mounts completely differently to each respective lens. There USED to be an adapter available form Eminence, but ironically only a few weeks ago I was told by the one source I could find that it was discontinued by the supplier. I’m positive a crafty individual could super glue a carefully cut flange to the CT-125 lens but now what to do with APT-50? I also have the SMAHL lens on the DE-120 in my LS and it is everything others say it is, but I realize just the shipping alone would be prohibitive where you live as I am also outside of the U.S. The hiss issue you describe has me puzzled though. Usually the hiss disappears when the crossover capacitors are replaced. Maybe now you are hearing the noise floor of your system components?
  16. This is the collateral damage of what history will refer to as “The Great Capacitor Wars of the Early Twenty-first Century”
  17. A little bit off topic... Is there a thread on this forum that has a running list of all the scams members have encountered? I have just elected to “follow” this one, but is there a dedicated thread? Thanks,
  18. @Vader540is, welcome to the forum. Heresy’s are the gateway drug to Klipsch! Where I’m going with this is... don’t get past the point of diminishing returns on this project because you will be climbing the Klipsch ladder, others call it going down the Klipsch rabbit hole, lol. This is a great project to hone your skills and knowledge on. Lots of Heresy parts come up inexpensively from time to time. You could check and see which drivers and crossovers were used in the last series of Heresy 1s to use those specific tweeters(fragile) and go that route or just make them both the same as inexpensively and quickly as possible. Do not expect to rock the house down with those Heresys, but with a subwoofer they will shine.
  19. Naw, Fortes are for people that unfortunately don’t have room for “real” speakers, lol.
