Occasionally, when I see a topic go over ten pages that I am not particularly interested in and consider to likely be a pretty mundane discussion, I drop in on the last page to see how far the game of telephone has wandered from the title of the original post. Those are Zu Omen Dirty Weekend. So far, they do not appear to be very finicky about placement, which is quite a change from the Fortes that normally occupy that space. Nice strong center image. I know of the show only from the album. The bands around the Khorns are ratchet straps holding false corners in place on the side next to the window. This will suffice until I make something more permanent. I may build fully enclosed backs but will not permanently attach them, as these are nearly perfect and I want to preserve them for the owner that follows me.

I suggest you find an optometrist who is less prone to hyperbole. If she is startled by those numbers, you would do well to get another exam by someone more professional. If you can pass the eyesight exam at the DMV, you can see well enough to drive.

The field of tube amps at or below $5k must number in the hundreds. It would be difficult to convince me to let go of that kind of spare change on a particular piece if I couldn't find a single person on the planet who owns one. But I may be using a different set of criteria to make my buying decisions.

From what I can see in those shadowy photos, this stuff does not appear to be up to the standard I would expect from BDI.

I have that beat. The guy I bought my turntable from showed me the L100s he had re-veneered. The guy he had do the work covered up the original veneer with walnut...Formica. And he made matters worse by easing the edges so much that I would have to do considerable work to fix it.
