    Any switches or tone controls should be cleaned. Is the tweeter low on both? If not swap the tweeters around.

    Yes. Authorized parts are best. Some recommend replacing tweeter diaphragms in pairs.

    The H2 is MDF rather than plywood.

    The rear firing passive requires the woofer to be highly motivated. With lower wattage amps they just have very little oomph.
