Islander
I'm assuming you mean Christmas and not another holiday like Thanksgiving or Labour Day. Anyway, The Pogues' Fairytale of New York for Christmas and for Hannukah, Adam Sandler's Hanukkah Song.

Just the other day, I heard that in a muzak mix at the mall - with all the lyrics intact. It stopped me in my tracks. I forgot what a good song it was although it just doesn't blend in well with Bing Crosby and Kenny G.

I just said holiday as I did not want to assume that every person on the forum celebrates the same holiday this season (the second half of December). I was raised to celebrate Festivus. We always had the aluminum pole, the dinner, the airing of grievances and the feats of strength.

You have a point, JB, but what other late-December holiday has lots of music associated with it?It just seems odd to me when overly-PC ads mention "holiday gifts" and "Look at this gift, I had a good holiday!" How could it be politically incorrect or offensive to say or refer to Christmas? This could be the start of a rant, so I'll just leave it at that.
