JasonJCarney
I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a pair of the 7's. I like the look the of the grills on my 82II's and wondered if they make a similiar grill for the 7II? They don't. I personally dislike the grill as well. I never even put mine on from day 1. Schwa
My grills have never been out of the plastic bag they came in. The speakers look great naked. cubdog ...right up until you, or your wife, or your kids, or your cats dent the woofers. I bet naked won't have seemed like such a good idea then. Shodrewken
Haha glad I could help! And ya my wife won't even walk near the speakers just to make sure she doesn't hurt em. We don't have kids yet, but when we start we're gonna hopefully be in a house and have a separate room for my collection.

Sounds like a person that needs to get control of their wife or kids or cats. No need for the douchey remark. All I'm saying is that accidents happen and there are people/animals/things out there that probably don't care as much about your speakers as you do. It wouldn't be worth the risk IMHO. I'll admit, the speakers definitely look better without the grills than with the grills. I'd just be paranoid that the woofers would get dented (which is extraordinarily easy to do). My Reference speakers are in a dedicated room and I still leave the grills on all the time. Meh, it's much ado about nothing. Take your grills off; what do I care? COACH10810
I was afraid their wouldn't be any other options for the grills. Did the RF-7's have a full grill on them and then the change was made on the RF-7II'S?

Those look great! I am sure they had a good reason for changing the grills, but I would rather have the full grill any day..
jjennings2510
Here are a couple of pics of my completed setup. Finally got everything situated. Last item on my list is the RC-64 II center......and I must say I could be wrong but I don't think there is anything better than using floorstanders as your surround speakers.....While the RS speakers sound good too I love my RFs as surrounds! gsxr1000
They showed up today. They sure are pretty. They look a little strange with my dark espresso TV cabinet but doesn't look that bad with the grills on. More importantly, they sound great!
