liebherr954 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Would love to see a review of the movies listed for picture and sound also from a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (best). I just watched the mummy movies 1-3. I gave all of them high marks on sound and picture. The 3rd one has one of the best pictures I have ever seen from a non-animated movie. Highly recommend them. I give the first 2 a 7 for picture and 8 for sound. The 3rd one I give 10 and 10. I think that's a great idea, rather simple too. Ill be honest audio quality is more important to me Vs picture quality. 1 Quote
_benjammin Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Act of Valor....a must see. Agreed. Very enjoyable, decent LFE but maybe I didn't have it loud enough, my wife commented she didn't hear a thing. First movie I watched on blu-ray with the latest set up was Rise of the Planet of the Apes and my wife was flipping the lights on and off from the bottom of the stairs yelling "turn it down, you're rattling the dishes!" Heritage_Head Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I’m kind of whatever my last upgrade is lol. If I get a new sub I’m all about bass movies. Then I get a new amp and its sound. Now I’m really into video with my last upgrade being a projector. Quote
liebherr954 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Star Wars - episodes 1 through 6. My son got these for me last Christmas and I haven't watched them all yet, I've owned them on VHS, DVD and now bluray. I must say the picture and audio are top quality and the pod racer scene sounds amazing! Quote

Mr. RF62 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Despicable Me, Picture = 7, Audio = 6, could have had better sound, lots of moments where a good boom would have been handy but it was weak. Battleship, Picture = 8, Audio = 8 or 9, one of the best movies I have saw in a while, very good sound. Quote
liebherr954 Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 My favorite Batman movie so far. Picture 9, Audio 10, 1 Quote
ivanhurd Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Just watched Lucky Number Slevin. Pretty good movie although nothing impressive about the audio/video. 1 Quote

jbsl Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I am not sure if this counts a the last 1 or last 5. Next is Band of Brothers Quote
JJkizak Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The last one I watched was one that I made for the family reunion with my Sony Z1. Everything was excellent except where I screwed up. That about covers it. JJK Quote
