Paducah Home Theater Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Nothing great but I thought it was cool. This is the caterpillar for the imperial moth, found on a high traffic rocky beach at Deep Creek, Bryson City, NC. I moved it to safety then took a pic. It doesn't come across well in the pic but this thing is HUGE. It was about as big around as a big fat guy's thumb, with leathery tough skin, not squishy like normal caterpillars. The stick beside him was a good 8" long. 2 Quote
