Max2
I may not be an expert at anything, but it sure is nice to have well rounded tool box of trade skills and experiences. We've had about 2 weeks of sleepless nights because the motor crapped out in our little baby swing. Fortunately I've got the tools and capability to track down the issue, replace the tiny motor (required mechanical dexterity, soldering, basic troubleshooting), and put it all back together without any extra parts. Super dad to the rescue! I'd like to thank my HS auto, wood, and electronic shop teachers - the basic skills learned in those classes almost 20 years ago have been far more valuable than any amount of Calculus that I've managed to forget. A "Jack of all" can and will survive. 90% of experts will not.

Some people got scared; but, not me. I changed it … alone. You know, when you stare death in the face and walk out alive … it changes you. Great job on the swing … those are lifesavers for parents. I left my kids in the swing until they were 18.

You know, when you stare death in the face and walk out alive … it changes you. Funny stuff!!Which begs the question . . . "How many . . . [fill in this blank] . . . does it take to change a light bulb?" And the answer is? Edited October 18, 2014 by Rhetor
