K5SS
Hello everyone, I figured I would make a new thread about my search for audio bliss. I have owned numerous 5.1 systems over the last 10 years but it all began with my RF-3 Klipsch system, once I heard that Klipsch sound, I was addicted. I later moved onto RF-63's, this is the set that I wish I would have kept. I still keep my eyes peeled for a pristine cherry set on CL but they never show up. Once I sold the 63's, I decided to try out Definitive Technology. I bought BP-8's a CLR2002 and two Studio monitor 450's for the surrounds. This set was powered by a Onkyo 818. They sounded great but didn't have the sound I have been longing for. I just recently sold that complete set and I have been surround soundless ever since. I have been working very long hours so I decided to take a trip to Fry's and see if they had any sales going. Just as luck would have it, they did. I ended up buying RF-62's, RC-62 and RB-61's (didn't have in stock). I am totally pumped and happy to be back to get her with Klipsch again. I am now shopping for a receiver. I have owned a pioneer SC-25, HK AVR-635, HK 3700 and the Onkyo 818. I have also owned Emotive XPA-3 and XPA-5, I love the build quality and price of Emotiva gear. I am now considering their Fusion 8100. Any of you guys have any input on this model. The other receiver that I has sparked my interest is the Denon X4000. Now that I have new speakers, it's time to dig out the big Rythmik subwoofer. Should be a pretty sweet setup. Any way, sorry for the long-winded post, I am just very excited to be back.

K5SS
And my picture posting fiasco continues on this forum.. There were numerous speaker brands such as Monitor Audio (probably my second favorite sound, just behind Klipsch), Energy and Martin Logan that I didn't mention along the journey, just didn't want to write a dissertation. Thanks for the warm welcome guys, feels good to be back.

derrickdj1
Welcome back home. Once you get use to horn loaded speakers, the rest just lack that punch. By the way, those are nice pic's except for being sideways, lol. Edited May 3, 2014 by derrickdj1
K5SS
I finally got a chance to set the speakers up today. I think it turned out pretty good considering I am using 2 $15 Ikea end tables as a temporary stand.. I spent 4 miserable hours today in furniture stores trying to find a stand that would fit the RC-62 II and I struck out. Very annoying. I had to improvise but I like the center above the TV, now my stand options have opened up dramatically.
Scrappydue
Yeah once you get above the 52 center, stands get REALLY expensive. If you have the money the salamander synergy stuff is all customizable and it will hold the 62 or
The Dude
Tisk tisk, if you folks would stick around here and do some reading you would learn about sellers remorse. Just teasing ya, welcome back and congrats on the new setup it looks nice. If I had some cash I would jump on a RF-7 deal here locally. I would love to give the Reference line a shot in the TV room, after all the RF-5s are what turned me on to Klipsch as well.

ChuckAb3
Glad you are back in the fold. If you could wall mount the TV you might have more flexibility on what you need in terms of the center channel.
ClaudeJ1
Welcome back, my friend.... to the show that never ends, come inside, come inside......Emeson Lake and Palmer. The journey ends with Jubilees or some other flavor of all PRO Klipsch, but he is off to a good start.
