Schu
do some Klipschorn versions have non removable top HF sections?
Guest Steven1963
I believe so...but those look like the type that are removable. The wingnuts are on the underside of the bass section's top piece.
Coytee
Wasn't there a decorator series that was one piece? Do you have a picture of the front?

JJkizak
Well you can see the four screws that hold down the front portion and two more that hold the supports. JJK
djk
"do some Klipschorn versions have non removable top HF sections?" I doubt it, they wouldn't go through many door-ways if one piece, and would be impossible to manage the weight on stairs. Posted 07 December 2007 - 10:04 PM "A speaker is only too big if you can't fit it through the front door " H3LL, I carried my first Klipschorn down a flight of stairs in one piece before I found out it wouldn't go through the door to my bedroom. (a whole B style Klipschorn is quite heavy) Fortunately I then figured out the top came off. Edited September 6, 2014 by djk
cradeldorf
Those cobwebs are probably doing a pretty good job of holding them on.
ricktate
I am pretty sure those come off one way or anther. Are there wing nuts under the top section? If not just remove the screws. I think even the decorators came off. Rick

Arash
the top section seems to be MDF. Klipsch never used MDF in Khorns! so that might be a clone.
Guest Steven1963
I do not think those are clones. They would be infringing on copyrights/trademarks. Edited September 10, 2014 by Steven1963
Deang
The patents have run out long ago. Klipsch has been using MDF in Khorn and LaScala builds for almost two decades.
CECAA850
Looks like a raw version that someone finished.

I had the same thought about MDF... I am glad I decided to wait and not bid.
