W27
Are the other speakers on the Klipsch site? I'm not seeing them. The ones that look like they're playing off of an iPod.

expresso
i wonder what difference is there or would be between the RP 250 and 260 ? they both have the same specs wise - power etc, - the only difference is xover point and smaller drives - but i wonder what difference would that make if they both have the same specs - Feq range - power handling etc, - who cares if its a smaller driver as opposed to the larger one if they can both hit the same highs and lows -- are the new RP line a even box in shape or larger as they get to the bottom in the front ? the pictures seem to look that way -
Schwa
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I guess the facts that the new Reference Premiere bookshelf speakers are rear-ported, lack wall-mounting hardware, and have a (presumably) non-removable plinth base rules them out for use as wall-mounted surrounds, huh? I prefer the WDST surrounds myself, but those particular RP bookshelf design choices might alienate that segment of folks who prefer to use monopole speakers for surrounds. And what's the thinking behind the slight upward angle the bookshelves seem to have? Edited January 8, 2015 by Schwa
Moderators Youthman Posted January 8, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2015 I think you make some valid points Schwa. I wonder if the wireless surround might do the trick. They look to be wall mounted surrounds that angle downward. http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/klipsch-shows-reference-premiere-wireless-home-theater/
Moderators Youthman Posted January 8, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2015 Came across this cool video of the RP-280F. Looks like they think it's called an RF-280. http://news.yahoo.com/video/klipsch-reference-premiere-rf280-speakers-215050887.html

They are shown in the image above. One is mounted on the wall, one is lying down on it's back on a shelf. They are better seen in the video in that link http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/klipsch-shows-reference-premiere-wireless-home-theater/ Sorry, I thought they were in the video. Guess they are just shown in the photo above. Edited January 8, 2015 by Youthman
Moderators Youthman Posted January 8, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2015 Interestingly enough, Klipsch doesn't mention the surrounds in their Press Release. Maybe they are still under development? The wireless system consists of tower speakers RP-440WF, monitor speakers RP-140WM and a center channel speaker RP-440WC that features a two-way design and utilizes the same driver and horn technology as the brand’s debuting Reference Premiere series. The system’s RP-110WSW subwoofer is also modeled directly after the new Reference Premiere RP-110SW subwoofer, but offers the added convenience of WiSA wireless connectivity. The Ref Premiere Wireless setup that they are displaying currently uses bookshelf monitors as surrounds.
