joessportster
Had a sale of my Havana Dac agreed on a price guy wanted to pay Via Paypal so we agreed he sends Pmt. Paypal says Payment Pending Holding the $$$ for up to 21 days and will not release it till the buyer acknowledges receipt of items we were conversing through Audio Asylum, Nothing to do with Ebay (ebay had a similar rule for new sellers with under 10 sales or 90 days a while back) Who in there right mind would agree to this term, all the perspective buyer has to do is say I never received it and you are out your item and the $$$ Guess I am only using paypal to pay for stuff from now on, They have really gone off the deep end

Don Richard
The place where I worked would email shipping date and carrier along with tracking numbers as company policy to ensure things ran smoothly on both ends.
CECAA850
Ebay and Pay Pal's policies have slid off into the crapper as of late. I don't use either one unless there's no other way around it.

Paducah Home Theater
Once you do more traffic there it's not quite as so strict. It mainly means they don't trust you.

Schu
that's funny... I just sold some stuff on eBay last week and I got my money released and posted to my account within two days. I think that hold policy above is for Credit Cards and not direct withdrawal from bank account transactions.

If purchaser used credit/debit card there should be no problem with Paypal releasing the funds. They will hold funds if purchaser uses an echeck. Tarheel
Same here. Sold the Blueberry preamp last week. New account so payment is in limbo for up to 21 days plus the PP fee was high. Next time buyer will have to pay or no sale
Fjd
Electronic payment competition is not too far around the corner. The 21 day rule has been around for a long time. Here is a link to the entire PayPal FAQ where I captured the image below. https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/security/paypal-holds-faq Edited July 8, 2015 by Fjd
