Mallette
What about Del Monte? I was raised on it. If it's still around I should try some again. As to the best mayo, in my part of the country it's Miracle Whip. Dave

Mallette
Funny thing about these oils. They are demonized. However, seems most studies assume you are drinking the stuff. When I consider the tiny quantities actually consumed with PROPERLY fried foods I find it silly. Maybe a tablespoon with a big heap of fries, but I suspect a lot less. Anyway, not going to lose sleep over it. Dave
Don Richard
Ketchup + Horseradish and a little Tabasco with raw Oysters Yes, and it's oyster season. If you can find coarse ground horseradish, it makes the best cocktail sauce regardless of the brand ketchup used.

Kraft mayo is still wrong Hellman's is universally recognized by chefs as the best store bought prepared mayo (mass market) in the USA at least. oldtimer
Should be interesting. I buy the Kroger brand and I am not sure who makes it. Lately I have bought the budget Kroger brand and it is even better, it has less sugar. When you want to go all out you go to the health food store and grind fresh peanuts right into the tub.
