Wardsweb
These use JBL 2220 woofers and JBL LE-175 HF compression drivers, H91 conical horns and H94 bent plate lenses.
Wardsweb
Here is the back of the speaker during construction. You can see the top sections is just a cover for the horn. The JBL crossover is built into the back.

Jim
Wow, Is that a clear coat over them, oil, or something else? I have Forte II'S and Brazilian Rosewood veneer and still need to do mine.
Wardsweb
Wow, Is that a clear coat over them, oil, or something else? I have Forte II'S and Brazilian Rosewood veneer and still need to do mine. These were done with several coats of Deft semi-gloss spray lacquer. I have used it on many of my builds. Although, my latest favorite is Liberon Finishing Oil.
mustang guy
Some day I want to be able to veneer like that. Masterful job. Do you happen to know Greg Roberts who used to be a forum regular and builds the Volti line of Klipsch inspired speakers. Like you, he is a masterful veneer artist. Do you have more pictures of other jobs you've done. If so, I would enjoy seeing them too.
