tube fanatic
This doctor from the UAB has expressed concerns: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/georgia-school-reopenings-paint-a-bleak-picture-for-the-school-year-153337845.html Duke University has found some commonly used masks are ineffective. So why are they still being recommended as being “better than nothing?” If the object is to contain the virus, the only masks which we use should be rated for filtering virus sized particles. Unfortunately, they can not be found anywhere. https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/08/us/duke-university-face-mask-test-trnd/index.html Maynard

Of course, many reasons can find not to embrace it like, health.
OO1
had they implemented shields rather than masks , or as a secondary option , I wonder 1)- if they are more effective 2)- if people would have resisted them as much as masks 3) since they allow a person to breathe normally , they are more comfortable 4) they are washable 5) they protect the eyes , nose etc , and they can be used over a mask or not 6)- they are re-usable and very cheap All-thanks to the Chinese selling these by the Billions

Randy I did find something from the BBC --https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200806-are-face-shields-effective-against-covid-19 I find them less intrusive and a no-brainer -------our staff love them -----about 1$ and change a piece -- all I am saying is that a foot long shield may be an acceptable option to those who dont like wearing masks - I can't stand wearing a mask for a very long time -----but , I am happy to use a shield in conjunction with a mask -

grasshopper
back to education IMHO was telling the wife [she's a teacher] that I predict the school year will be postponed for a year. Remote learning will not good enough to keep the students on the desired learning curve. We're asking parents to educate the kids as good as the professionals. We/they will be doing good to keep the kids from back-sliding, let alone advancing
