Moderators Youthman Posted April 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted April 24, 2011 Speakers look great and I love the style of your kitchen. Let us know what you think once you get everything hooked up. Any plans for a sub?

cornfedksboy
Looks beautiful! Really need to get the RS-62s just because having the 6 inch woofers all the way around is sweet! I also love the kitchen, but would look for a new coffee table. []

My budget is exhausted for now so I'm stopping! This is a very dangerous hobby. Oh and the table is my old Ikea entertainment stand which I just replaced with the pictured Z-Line TV stand. It will be going up on Craigslist shortly.
Kritzer
Your setup looks amazing! I just ordered a pair of new RF-63's and they should be in sometime this week. I will post pictures when they arrive. I am also a fan of your TV stand, is that the Z-Line Venetian 3 in 1 Hybrid?

It's awesome and holds my 52' just fine. I was a little concerned about the size and weight distribution with my 52' but it's rock solid. Also look what came in the mail today: Monoprice 12AWG and some GLS plugs. Going to dress these up with some Techflex, cable pants and heat shrink (thanks for the idea Nezff).

e2g
Yep, new Ultra Sub 12 and XPA-3 are on the way from Emotiva. Should be here next week.are you concerned about the weight of the XPA-3 + whatever else you may have on that glass shelf (if its glass)? I currently have the Z-line Jaguar 3-in-1 stand that I got for $180 from Target and its been doing great. I really like Z-Line. But I have a hard time finding another 3-in-1 stand that is a little wider, and that can support more weight on each shelf without having to shell out $300+ or a DIY stand. The top shelf (where the center is) supports 120lbs. Middle and bottom support 65lbs each. The Emotiva at a whopping 57lbs will definitely be going on the bottom shelf with the cable box and media PC. That will be about 71lbs which I feel comfortable with. The middle shelf will have the Denon receiver and PS3 which will be 40lbs. I mapped out dimensions and weight before I went shopping and this was the only TV stand I could find that would fit everything. It will be snug but it should work out.
shake777
Hi unk, I'm curious if your banana plugs came from Monoprice or if not where. They look like nice quality. If you don't mind spilling the beans about the price, that would be great or if you want to send a pm thats fine too. The reason is I got a set of plugs from MP that were very poor quality. Yours look almost exactly like the ones I got from Emotiva which are very good. Thanks Nic

Yeah, I think my Z-line supports the same weight. My problem is I have two emotiva amps..and an htpc that's the size of an avr.. I am still missing an avr...which will be 30-55lbs depending what I get.
unk626
Looks like we got hit by a spam bot Anyhow. Finally recieved my new components to complete the setup. Denon & Emotiva Amp/Sub: Just need to tune it and get everything dialed in.

shake777
Hi Unk, I'm wondering about the RF63s. They are harder to find than hens teeth. If you know of a source I would be very thankful. Nic

Just Monoprice 12 AWG wires and GLS plugs for now and Bluejeans LC-1 for interconnects and sub. Techflex, cable pants, and heat shrink are on my todo list.

Nic I purchased mine from another Klipsch Community Forum member here. My advice is to keep checking the boards (Klipsch, Audiogon, Videogon, and AVSForum)
Blatz
Hey guys, I just picked up a Mirage FRx-S12 150w subwoofer yesterday. It is the older version with the controls on the back. The mirage will be replacing my 12 year old Sony 90w 12" that has had a slit in the cone for quite a while. Now I will have the Mirage 12" playing along with a Velodyne 8" sub. How would you rate this speaker? Any experiences with this sub would be appreciated. I paid $100 for it and it is in excellent condition. The guy selling the mirage sub was about 50years old and he just picked the sub up from his parents who lived in a very high end gated community here in town so I think it is slightly used. Hooking it up today so if you have any advice LMK...... Cheers.
