thebes
That's right one hundred buckaroos, Not saying I do (don't want to get mugged on the way home) what would I spend it on? Simple rules, must be audio gear, preferably for a 2 Channel setup. Be creative, multiple items accepted. All right fellow cheapskates, let's stretch those dollars. IB Slammin
$100.00 ? Are the twins still in the pix? Save your money and invest in the "blue tint". More bang for the buck. I am still LMAO. Just can't forget "the sound of the heels". More cost-effective at our age. Terry
RichardP
While they don't all cost $100, my suggestions would include: - for bookshelf-size speakers, a set of speaker stands. - SPL meter (if HT set up). - banana plugs for all speaker cables. - setup/calibration disk, e.g., Sound&Vision, Avia, Chesky. - CD cleaner/repair kit. - cable management system for audio rack. - subscriptions to a couple of audio magazines. - last but not least, new CDs and DVDs! colterphoto1
Great suggestions Richard and HootingMonkey! I'd use it to DOUBLE the size of my music collection! How? I'd get a new Stanton Stylus for my Technics turntable(s). I just moved and can't believe how many LP's I've either saved since new (those teenage years when I used to score an LP, 'soundguard' it, record to cassette and then store it away. Plus those weird collectibles I've scored at garage sales and from friends over the years. Probably have 1000, more than the CD's iv'e scored to date, many NOT duplicates. Like the ideas of banana plugs for speakers, spl meter, etc. Very creative group! Michael
JohnWhite
Silver RCA jacks, Silver blade connectors, Then I would head to SkyCraft the local electronics junkyard and pick up some Cat5 cable, Swing by the local liquor store and get a nice bottle of wine, Head home and make my own interconnects and speaker cable while the wine is chilling, then sit back and enjoy the music! krustyoldsarge
Bitburger beer, Schnapps, Scotch and a call to the girfriend. This always improves my sound system My standard answer, though, is a SS Marantz receiver (if you don't already have something better)!
