I will probably be told to get an angiogram at any complaint of heart pain now. One does not want to over-do those things though. They are not fun, but necessary. What we need is a good non-invasive test for artery blockage.

Bob,

Thank God for His answer to this situation as it was bathed in prayer by many. The thread should show you how many of us value and respect you......even though you don't like the 511b[:D]

There is a certain somthing that you and I have in common. It is somthing that I have done for 35 years, and very much injoy. It is somthing that is bad for us, and somthing that we should stop doing.

Thought I might catch you at this point of weakness.

I challenge you (us) to stop. Would a $100.00 bet be in order for a six month secession?

Glad you are home,

Terry

... Turned out the blockage was just poor blood flow to the part of the heart that controls heart rate...

That's cool. After all that, maybe you COULD have gone in there yourself and fixed the problem with your trusty soldering iron. [;)]

Nah, anything is a better use of metal than parts for an Escort. Whatta POS. I still remember how weird it was to find out that the Escort head bolts were not re-usable.

Glad to hear you're up and around. I think you're past the point of dodging bullets, you're now into catching them in your teeth. :)

Whenever you or your son is up to it, I sent you an email about some parts needed. In fact, let him do it. Lay around and watch TV or something.

Good to see you up and out Bob. I have but 2 of the total of eight grafts that I have had still open (a 3 and a 5) and an EF of between 20 and 30% depending on who is reading the echo. With your history a cardioverter would still be an option. Keep an open mind and a Positive attitude.

How did you find those wood things Dee brought over?

Terry, I should join your challange.

Rick,

The wood things sound a bit subdued to me. I am trying to figure out why. I did notice that some screws have loosened up in transit, and that could be it. Some actual cracks you can see through in there where the pieces join. Volume is just plain down compared to a K400 and some other horns lying around here. I also got your crossover rebuilds checked out. They are good. Only thing I could find wrong is that the tweeter filter is a bit out of shape because of steel screws in the tweeter inductors. Should be brass or stainless. That makes the tweeter inductor around 325 uH instead of the 245 uH spec. I don't think that could be the only reason Jeff did not like them, but that is all I can find off spec on them. The caps you used are really pretty good.

I need you to write me with your address for me to pack that stuff up and send back to you.

Rick,

I think the docs are leaning toward the idea that they fixed the reason that they at first thought I would need a cardioverter. The blockage was preventing proper perfusion of the natural "pacemaker" portion of the heart. If they change their minds again on this, I am sure we will revisit the subject. Just looks like they fixed it with a stent this time. I am going to be seeing a cardiologist every 4 to 6 weeks for awhile. No chance of the chest hair growing back in the near future.

Bob, I just saw this post and went through shock, worry, and relief in about 15 minutes but still nothing compared to what you went through. Thank the Lord you are out of immediate danger and on the mend.

You are in our prayers - it never hurts to keep the momentum going.
