    • That seems to leave EDM, Country, and some form of Hip Hop/R&B/Soul/Hard Core Christian Rap, if so, I'd stick with solid state (just my opinion).     That is correct, but most people who use an amp with that design usually listen to everything you don't.  Hence why I recommended to stay with SS.  I like overhead, something around 150-200 Watts RMS pushing a pair of Cornwalls, but that's my preference.  Used may be your best bet, most of the Heritage line can be had for $3k or less.  I don't know a lot people who purchase Klipschorns and LaScalas for EDM or Hip Hop, but from what I understand, it was often that they were used in clubs, so i am sure they would work. The Cornwalls, Fortes, and Heresys are well rounded speakers, just different in size with the Forte having a passive radiator whereas the Cornwall and Heresy don't.  There also Chorus, CF3s, there are many options out there and I think most will suite your needs.
    • Yes you can connect it that way as long as the A and B speaker outputs are wired in parallel, my guess from the rated speaker impedance 8 ~ 16 ohms is they are. No worries about impedance because powered subwoofers have a very high input impedance and the Sony will not even know it's connected.
    • From my second system and rarely used.  Dust cover still wrapped. Cartridge is a Hana MC with maybe 30 hours at most.   Photo is from ad.  Pics of all upon request.   $1050 plus shipping and PP fees or pay with Zelle.  Location is Wilmington, North Carolina 28409.
    • You're missing out on some really good music.
    • Now, I am too.  I just now started 'The Time-travelling Caveman' which are some of his early short stories.  Also, the book A Stroke of the Pen is some of his work using a pseudonym.
    • Wait, so what kind of music do you listen to?
    • You have always treated other forum members very poorly, I don't know why I was surprised to see what you typed.      What are you waiting on, someone else to do the work?
    • That would not be a benefit. There is already a thread with conversation along the lines that this one turned into. There are countless threads about tube rolling, new to the forum, FS, WTB, and advice asked and given.. you know that, you have been here for 10 years longer than I. The cost of running this forum is not even an amount that would be considered, especially since it is very beneficial.
    • Welcome to the forum.  I agree that the best thing you can do is buy a sub to fill in the bottom. Nothing can be done to the cabinets or components that do what you, and everyone else, want to make bass. Also, I would leave them alone... for now. Listen to them, and enjoy them so when you make any change, you can hear if you like what you did.  There are at least two versions of Heresy II: One has round terminal cups, and the other has square terminal cups. Which do you have?
