Good morning, y'all. Don't drink scotch; got a bottle of high dollar single malt for Christmas one year. It turned my stomach, so I gave it to someone who would enjoy... Cuban Rum is my preference...not strictly legal, yet... I've looked at some of the No BS threads... I prefer this thread.6 points

Oh man, I'm LOVIN' BLT's lately on lightly toasted sour dough bread. Had 2 on Saturday and only a half (last heel) before hittin' the sack last night. New loaf of sour dough in the fridge. I just can't seem to get enough BLT's. We don't have the tomato plants we had last year, just a couple small ones, In fact they are still in their pots because of all the rain & mosquitos. We need to get them in the ground and hope for a mid-September small crop.5 points

Is it just me or is anyone else excited about the prospects of being able to visit Cuba. Old cars, Rum, cigars, senoritas. I don't actually smoke cigars but I enjoy the other three Hey Sancho what's the secret handshake like?5 points
-
Cuban Rum is REAL RUM. Someone told me that in 2000. Didn't believe him; until I tried some. I've found some legal rum that is very good; close, but NO Cigar... For those wanting to try some, best source is Csnada, if you have a friend who is going...5 points

Won't be seeing Sancho here anymore. He is over in NO BS smoking cigars and sipping expensive scotch, solving the worlds problems.5 points

I would say yes and no. Yes the dry areas are getting wet, in fact so much rain so fast it causes flooding. And no because where we really get our water here in So Cal is from snow melt in the Sierra Nevada mountains and I don't think we got any snow from this.4 points

Morning all, Well it's Moanday, back to the old grind literally. Rained here in So Cal most all the weekend. Could not even get out to grill a steak. Weird for So Cal in July. Got lots of inside chores done instead. Of course it caused the inevitable floods cuz we don't know what to do with water out here. By the Grace of God my homestead did not suffer too much just a little erosion. But here comes a new crop of weeds.4 points

I've not been to Cuba, yet; but, I don't think they have a secret handshake. Unless it's the AlaBame booster $1000 handshake. Hope to retire there; prolly settle for Florida, with visits to Cuba, when I can...4 points

Mulching is the best, it returns the nutrients to the lawn and saves having to empty the bag! You can't really beat the Toro/Honda combo, but Toro switches engine manufactures and I take what they are offering at the time. I think my commercial Toro's have Kwai's on them right now. Work great! Dennie3 points

Midmorning Monday Just in from the Depot, more stock for Mr Crow, fabricating dam near everything to make him Beefy. Most any available parts for Bots is cheap crap @exorbent prices. Keep in mind these are built as "Puppets" and quality parts aint happening, so i build them, Mr Crow will be around awile. Tarheel has now made me hungry, no more coffee3 points

I think that is one of the best (Closest Ports) that i would go visit, no problem. Cannot believe 50 years+ of BS, and the BS would be on us. We have been supporting how many Commie Govts in the last 30 + years? I dont know about anyone else, but iv NEVER been worried Cuba would attack us, they are party animals!3 points

Made this awhile back. Made more than one version. Here is the 30" deep version. You can put dual 12 or dual 15 in there if you want. 1/8th space horn. Flare 35Hz. Goes out to 400Hz. Here for eyecandy. However, as time passes will give the measurements. Not an easy build. I have moved twice since I made these. I no longer have any here. Files are on different computers so I'm slowly putting it all together. jc2 points

I've been in the Landscaping/Gardening business for over 20 years and if I needed a home lawn mower, I would serious look at this All Wheel Drive Toro for $399... CLICK HERE It should last the rest of your life and is very easy to operate. I recommended one to a friend and he loves it. Dennie2 points

This is starting to sound like a "So, what's the big deal?" rant. There is no disputing that opiates are addictive. Contrary to what has been said above, addiction is not equal to dependence, plus crime. Addiction is not defined that way. Addiction exists by way of the body's negative reaction to withdrawal from the drug. Nothing more. There is no doubt in my mind that opiates are not evil incarnate. They have their place in a functioning society. There is just undoubtedly a lot of abuse and unnecessary use of it, which does, in fact, lead to crime and other "bad" behavior. I am not interested in the pill-poppers' never-ending argument that they suffer real pain. I have heard that argument plenty, and I believe the experience of pain to be real. When I was a bit younger, I used to condemn opiate use, but having aged, seen and talked to more older people with chronic pain, I get it. I don't so much condemn the use, as much as I feel sorry for the folks that use it. The pain must be pretty bad. I have some level of constant, chronic lower back and hip pain, but I will not touch the stuff. Fortunately, I guess that means my pain is not bad enough. I have seen the effects of long-term, daily opiate use, and they are not good. It obviously helps with pain, but in exchange, you get terrible constipation, a bit of lethargy, perhaps nervousness, and some other effects that tend to drag you down. For that reason, I will tolerate pain without the use of drugs as much as possible. However, I do realize that in some people (and potentially me some day, for whatever reason), the pain becomes so bad, you just have to give in and take the pills. In the meantime, I value the ability to just sit down on the pot and quickly and easily drop my deposit. There is huge value in that. I have seen how messed up people become with they are severely constipated. I never want to suffer that. (What an awful topic, but that's reality.)2 points

All these mods are interesting and sound like fun for DIY'ers. The hard thing is how much do you invest in these XO's compared to the market value of the speaker. The older the speaker, the lower the market valuse. It is amazing that with each mod the typical person hears sonic perfection. A comparison 3 months down the road would be interesting or if you had another pair of the exact speaker to do a true A/B testing.2 points
