  1. Not vinyl, but finally my system stands with functioning tuner: Ready for the future: As more and more radio-stations in Germany are switching over to digital radio, I´ve had the KT 7550 modified with this DAB circuit. I can still switch over to FM radio. Reception is excellent in both modes. Happy

  5. If I´m under stress it happens sometimes that I have a high frequency noise in my left ear , when I come down it disappears . In any case it´s better to have a tinnitus from time to time instead of have a gost voice talking to you the hole day through , if this is the case .....it becomes dangerous 😂

  6. Now you´re driving an ACURA and a 45 minute drive is too far for you ? Remember how many miles you´ve driven w/in the last few month , I suppose a couple of thousands....Where I´m living right now it´s absolute quiet as well , even it´s a side road and the city center is just less 15 Minutes by car.

  7. Hey George, I didn't get it yet. Didn't feel like driving the 45 minutes into town. I'm so far out in the sticks that it is 10 miles to a Wally World! And I'd bet that's further away than for 85% of this country! Oh and I got to find a shower curtain before I get my stuff up here next week very glad that there's ceramic tile in the bath. Talk about quiet, it is so quiet up here that I'm pretty sure what I'm hearing is my tinnitus

  18. Well I got them all cleaned up using light soap and damp clothes. I went with a natural slightly tinted wax to seal and protect. We have used this over the last 20 years on a couple other wood furniture pieces we have. Yes the speakers sound awesome (running cds through it). Love em. I did some research and wanted to do some tube amps and decided on a new build from getdynaco so I got a st70 and soon to arrive pas-3 or M preamp. I also have a new turntable coming in on Monday. It will be interesting but something I’ve had on my mind for many year is to have vinyl (ones created from analog source) and tube amp with klipsch belles, klipschorn … but these LaScalas will fit the bill in this room. I do have other rooms I’ll need to look over if I do see a klipschorn near me at a fantastic price lol. The AA crossover sound great to me but I understand will need new caps for longevity. I wanted to get my new gear going and listening for a bit and then do the upgrade. So not too many changes at once. thanks again all, for the great information.

  22. THANKYOU so much again, I appreciate it for real. I have a little amp that runs 50w per channel so I’ll probably see how they do with in mean time whilst I look for better equipment. You guys were super helpful I appreciate it.

  23. I bought a couple of these speakers (see attached photo) two years ago, but not sure about any details/history. Serial # 52S244 is located along the top edge on the back of the cabinet. Dimensions are Height- 21", Width- 15", Depth- 13". They sound good for small speakers, and when a subwoofer is added they sound real good! Any details/information would be appreciated. Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas/Holiday season!...I hope to hear back from you soon! David Spikes Aiken, South Carolina

  24. A room that size would likely be better with the Heresy, especially the IV that you have found. The Cornwall might be overkill.

  25. Indeed Indeed JJ . Collins Live Album was mastered perfectly and it´s easy listening pop , the Sting Live Album sound excellent as well and has a lot of Rock & Jazz Influence , you have to listen to it once.

  31. Agreed. The Cornwalls will swallow up that short wall. You've already got subs if you want or need them although I'm not sure where they'll fit along the short wall. Your proximity to neighbors also tells me you won't be able to push the accelerator to the floor (unless ALL the neighbors aren't home!) so you don't need the muscle of the Cornwalls. The Heresies will do just fine. I live in a condo with a pair of Heresy IIs and I approve this message!

  33. My main system has a set of Forte IV's. They are my favorite speakers I've ever owned, and I've owned a few. I'm a rocker at heart and nothing pounds quite like a Forte in my experience. I'm temporary relocated away from my system in an apartment for 5 months. I brought some Dynaudio Special 40 speakers which do some things nicely. I've got them paired with my recently acquired Yamaha A-s1200. The combo is an utter snooze-fest compared to my Fortes. It's not a good pairing, to say the least. Listening to music is dull and uninvolving. It finally hit me today that what I'm missing is the live Klipsch sound. Nothing comes close in my experience. I'm feverishly attempting to track down some Heresy to get me by until I get back to my beloved Fortes. Heaven help the audiophile who doesn't have his Klipsch speakers.

  35. It wasn't the distance. It's the fact that I was tired and didn't want to drive that far. I went to the grocery store and started rebuilding stuff like some condiments, and fresh coffee beans!. By the way... the new one puts out 270mph

  38. Hi there @Schu, I recall some pictures of your speaker setup a couple of times that had some framed movie posters nearby. I kind of figured you had a collection and those are pretty good clues as to what might be in it!

  40. The only other brand(s) I ever really considered outside of Klipsch were Altec and JBL (two sides of the same coin), particularly the vintage JBL like the Sovereign and Apollo series cabinets and similars employing the LE15/LE85-DLH175-375 midranges/077 cat's eye tweeters and other vintage horn setups of similar thinking......but ultimately when it came to the VALUE presented by the original Klipsch Heritage line of speakers, and how well those ended up being addressed in the aftermarket as well as having a pretty continuous "universal" ability to obtain service (drivers still sold by Klipsch and even Dean will build Klipsch authorized replacement networks for those line of speakers) tells me that I chose wisely and "saw the future" when deciding to invest in my Heritage cabs some 20+ years ago. While it is true that the JBL drivers are of a better class than the Heritage line used through that time, the Klipsch got more "results for the input" on the value side, and looking out into the future all those years ago told me that the Klipsch lasted longer (no surround refoams every 10 years) along with knowing that any drivers going dead otherwise would be an extreme cost that I probably could not "self insure" without brain a bank breaker in and of itself with the JBLs. It was sufficiently easy to obtain a trio of matched-driver Cornwall pairs and know that I could maintain and take care of them for a lifetime of service, and would be able to afford to "take care of them" because there were so many options in the marketplace to allow for that service to be done that the Cornwalls and Belles made sense as "life investments". Great results from affordable and common parts. There's always "better" but within the realm of "pretty damned good" and never really having to worry much about doing it all over again made it such that Klipsch was the right choice. Heritage really are "speakers for life" and the genius of the original PWK designs evident. If one kept the cabs in good shape one could completely rebuild the innards and run 'em for another 30-50 years. There's little else I could ever say that about any other product in ANY category, let alone audio, so I know I made the right choice. I literally wore out the first HT kit that drove those Cornwalls but the speakers are still here with a newer Mac core running the show. Took almost 20 years to wear out an amp but I found a way......tens of thousands of hours.....but the Cornwalls are still "The Speaker Of The House". Can't justify moving the beasts for anything else.

  41. you're very right , clean SS power is the way to go for the long haul , no tubes to replace ever , no adjustments needed , no tune-ups , no repairs for 10-20-30 years , the perfect example , with an excellent pre-amp , Yamaha A-S-1000 or 1100 or 1200 , and yes quality matters , a cheap SS amp will not do

  43. Ya... likely not the best room to invest in costly HT gear as Placement is key. have you considered something like the 180rpc-LCR? https://www.klipsch.ca/products/pro-180rpc-lcr Nowhere near the presence of the towers but I think for this room config, it may be a good choice. Then save those $ for a proper room later.

  44. In my room, SVS is stronger below 27hz and PSA stronger between 34-44hz. I think that matches what people are saying and experiences w/ how SVS and PSA are tuned. i.e SVS more low end and PSA more of that mid range bass. I do like the SVS with the parametric EQ and the ease of the app to fine tune the bass. But for the money, PSA is the winner IMO. I just happened to find a SVS at a good deal so I couldn't resist. : )

  45. Here is the Dolby 7.1.6 overhead guide: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/guide/speaker-setup-guides/7.1.6-overhead-speaker-setup-guide.html More detailed placement description are in this one: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologies/dolby-atmos/dolby-atmos-home-theater-installation-guidelines.pdf The good thing is you don't have to hard mount it so have the flexibility. Even the seating as well, once you have the speakers, you may find moving a few inch front or back may drastically change your nulls or peak. : ) lots of 'fun'.
