Ok friends.....returned from the market, all foods put away, caught a youTube subscrip and now time to sit back and enjoy these with my tea. (yes, that is a Dunkin' winter mug ) First photo here: dug these up from the Audio Showroom library. Going for the One is an original purchase of mine from the original release date.4 points

@AndreG. When that live LP came out it was one of the four or so times I went to see them every year. The previous show months before sounded so much like it it could have been the one I saw minus a few songs! Wasn't though.4 points

Very good! I am in a prog rock mood myself. I got my SUV warming up and I am about to head out for my usual Friday trip to the Market. When I return, some prog and tea.... see you all soon !4 points

Started with this a little while ago @GWSmith : Now it's like: Ahhh, Hybrid Tubes with 100 watts per channel, a good disc... & I'm listening to Klipsch again. Yep baby Klipsch, but through the DAC and Analog treatment my rig gives it they sound great!! The ikea-like desk fell apart when i moved my stuff around, this will suffice until the next phase hits! This room's bare and the sub is way out from the back wall but I'll get some king sized pillows from the closet and throw in the corners in a bit.3 points

I boiled some hamburgers last night and woke up this morning to some more snow coming down as the temp continued to drop all day. A friend of mine up in VA grows some of those big herb plants. I told him he must be doing something wrong as I still havenāt seen any tomatoes on the bushes he has staked up out back.3 points

Side B..........what I find amazing is how much more 'mellow' this album is alongside Big G. This one is less harsh and more full bodied. Kind of interesting considering they are 10 years apart in release Big G = 1987.3 points

I wanted to pull the trigger on a new pair of La Scalaās. But after reading that a Special pair of La Scalaās were used to demo the new horn subwooferās Iām going to hold off. Iām sure NDFās were signed during the Subfest but is it reasonable to assume that new La Scala AL6 may be coming in the spring or summer?2 points

Shouldn't be any fruit on mine if they come up either, maybe some red buds though! Our snow didn't come today but there have been snowflakes flying around all day long.2 points

Nice @GWSmith ! Saw trifold in the "E" and I knew what was up with you talking about prog a while ago! "Wondrous Stories" always hit me at the altitude I stayed at back then most of the time2 points

Got my pc set up... without the sound components. Upped my cell plan for a month so I can tether from it for a bit. Will get the Schiit+Klipsch+SVS set up this afternoon in the middle of the room for now so I can get the second coat on the walls. Need tunes in here2 points

Gotta watch this place. Be warned in advance. š Happy Birthday! Friends start passing it can truly mess ya up for a while. Soooo many good friends are gone. I just smile when I hear the news and thing of all the good times we used to have. Then every once in a while something hits ya outta no where and y laff some more. Just crazy for me anyway. My tombstone is already taken care of. All they have to do is add the date and this: "Whatever they say don't believe it. It's all a lie!" with a smiley face added. Those "herbs" will prolly be 8' tall small trees by fall. Make sure ya cover them w/cheese cloth in the hot sun. Keep an eye on your neighbor w/her Fiskars pruning too! š2 points

I really didn't think so but with the fluctuations in temperature y'all have I just didn't know. Where I'm from I cannot plant lettuce or turnip greens until about April when we're only in the 40s at night time.2 points

Hey @dirtmudd I've grown to like side b of that one almost as much as the first side. Starting to feel more like a home in here. The color I picked for the walls in the main part of the house has a gray hue in the early morning light or any light when it's reflecting the off of all the snow we still have on the ground. In the evening light, without the bright reflections, it has a tan hue to it. Heck, I can see a difference with the back wall and the walls on the right towards the pantry in this pic. With the flooring in today, it looks better! The current lot does have a lot of the lighter color in there, but I still like it. Walls will need a second coat to satisfy this former painter.2 points

sunny days, at this time of year, usually means the temp is cold. It is nice to see some sunshine, though.1 point

I have used these Quartetās about 4 years as surrounds in my surround system (Academy and Forte2ās). However, I have moved and decided to go 2channel only. I am selling my surround system to fund a new 2 channel system. I purchased this pair from a forum member. They are in good but not great shape. See pictures for condition, a handful of veneer chips like the one shown. The scratches shown are the worst but there are others also. These sound great and the drivers and radiators appear to be in good shape. The grills are also in good shape. Local sale only, can audition. Forte2s and Academy listed separately. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/220871-fs-academy-300-kansas-city/ https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/220873-fs-forte2s-750-kansas-city/1 point

Sorry about that @grasshopper Do you have your greens planted and covered with newspaper at night? When and if I can get my stuff I'll see what I can get growing here! My neighbor was up here the other day and she told me there were particularly nice herbs growing in the big pots left here at the house. Told her I'd leave them where the sun hits the most and see if any seedlings come up this spring that would be real nice1 point

That space looks great! I moved into my brick house just over eight years ago.1 point

My parents retired to northwest Wisconsin, where it often hit -40 in the winter. We lived in the Madison area where it got down to -10 or -20 pretty often. I think we were all pretty happy to move back south.1 point

Actually I much prefer my RC-7 with my RF-5's, they are almost the same speakers, same woofers and horn but a slightly larger tweeter in the RC-7. The RC-7's cabinet is much better suited for a center channel for both looks and not needing to have the display too high. Another RF-5 would work well behind an acoustically transparent screen but otherwise I feel a tall tower makes a terrible center channel speaker. As for matching the sound and blending together I don't think I have ever heard a better matching set of fronts and center as the RF-5 RC-7 combo. Both Posts are right: 1) Best acoustical match possible is to have 3 identical speakers, at same height behind a Screen - Like Most Movie Theaters. 2) If AT Screen/Projector is not possible a matching Center speaker is best. My post is based on one priority - Acoustics. As always WAF, Wife Acceptance Factor - wife's view of aesthetics, plays a role, along with fitting all pieces into the room. I have listened to RF-7s in Stereo, great speakers. I would assume RC-7 is great as a center for RF-5s. For HT I use the RS-7s as surrounds with La Scalas. Surprisingly good match to three modified La Scalas Surrounds are not as difficult to match as front three speakersāFor some reason sounds ahead moving side to side are easier to detect differences than difference from front to back or back to front. In my system a RC-7 would probably be a decent match as a center but not as good as the RC-7 would match the RF-5s.1 point

Great tip from Indy - I put my mids an tweets in top of the cabinet to get them to ear leve. Bass next to a short wall and not toed with mids and tweets toed in gave me the best sound.1 point
