  4. Oh Yeaaa! There's going to be that unforgotten Klipsch sound to my pc rig soon! BIG increase in punch, sensitivity, LF and clarity that the RP-600M IIs just aren't made to do. PM me if anyone is interested in the RP's, I'll put up a thread when I go Pro soon.

  5. Here ya go. Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy and crew in prog group TransAtlantic are at it again. This teaser vid just dropped this morning on youtube. It's their 2022 Morsefest show. The 2024 show is coming the end of April and tickets are on sale now. More info in the youtube post. 2 days? Wonder if my pacer could take it. 😂 A lil prog is good for the soul every now and then. Kinda maybe.

  15. Saw this today taken from the back end of a KC-135 floating gas station over Missouri recently. Those tankers get some way cool photo shots. Can't imagine the stress that boom operator is under. Always paid for with a salute from the pilot as he breaks off. Those Stealth bombars are insane. Crazy! 21. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the Forum and the Heritage Jubilee owners club. Read through my post here for my experiences after having them in my home for three months, which is the point where I finally got them dialed in where I wanted. The biggest consideration for amplifies is the noise floor. If the amps are not very quiet, you will hear the amp noise. I imagine the Mcintosh amps will be fine. You will most likely not need a subwoofer. The Jubilee is designed to have response down to 18 Hz (-1.75 dB) in half-space, meaning on the ground away from any room boundaries. In all real listening rooms, these will be close enough to the walls or corners for some room gain, making them go even deeper. I had to do a deep bass cut in my room and even with that the -3 dB point is 16 Hz. They can put out gargantuan amounts of deep bass. I suggest you listen and decide if you need more. I didn't.

  22. I just got up, my schedule got messed up with that trip day before yesterday. Now that I've got the lay of the drive down I'll do it at 4 am anytime! *It's just sooo messed up! How do you thinkClemson & FL State can leave the acc since the acc will control their rights even after that could possibly happen? Those old ironclad regulation/laws can't be beat! Ask that shipping company from the first bridge crash the other week?

  29. This is my Fisher X-101-B. I finally took it apart to do a deep clean including using Deox-It on all the connectors, switches, pots, etc. I was planning to replace a bunch of caps, but chickened out when I opened up the bottom panel. YIKES! Instead taking the chance of turning the thing into a boat anchor, I've decided to sell it. Besides, it works great as is, so I can enjoy it until it sells. I recently read an article from Audio Research suggesting that just because a speaker has a nominal 8 ohm rating, tube amps may work better using the 4 or even 16 ohm taps. I tested this one using the 4 ohm tap and it made an amazing difference. The amp sounds great, but I still think I prefer the ACA.

  38. 1986. I had a high school buddy who's Dad had Khorns driven by Rotel Amps. The room was about 25'x60' (huge). The music was the Moody Blues. I was already into audio, but knew that night that I would own a pair one day! Then, I was age 16. At age 53, I finally had the place for them.

  42. I'm so sorry Chuck. It's the worst, making that call. Dogs give you unconditional love for their lifetimes, then they rip your guts out when they leave. They're worth that end of life heartache I suppose. No sugar coating this part though... You are in my thoughts. I will raise a glass to Jake tonight and my cup of coffee to him this morning. He's been a good family member to you!

  43. Good to see you are all surviving the winter (so far)! it was 40 when I woke up this morning - FINALLY it's back down to 30 and snowing vigorously! This is so much better than rain/ice combos! Happy we're not in a minus 20 stretch right now - though it is great coffee weather. Stay warm everyone and Happy Belated New Year!
