Vlad... maybe you could be a little clearer on your explanation please. I can not understand what you are asking. and by the way... how is a freq response graph going to help you with headphones? do you have some equipment that teh rest of us do not have?
  4. "Gobble Gobble" I hope everyone will be safe and full this thanksgiving.
  5. here are two more... not so cheap, but definetely great!
  6. can you tighten and untighten a couple handfuls of wood screws?
  7. Harrumph how can fashionable words like twerk and selfy be in the dictionary and great words like Harrumph not be?
  8. Oh my... those are beautiful. who did the coating on the wood?
  9. I'll show you pictures of them when they come in
  10. I'll take that to :-) I guess we'll find out in the near future.
  11. Some SS amps yes. AVR? Depends on what you listen for. These machines are fine for dinosaur stomps, car crashes and explosions. Music? Not so much........ We will just have to agree to disagree. Shakey I'd have to agree with this... my avr was good for two channel until i stepped up to the pre out option, then the truth became apparent, there is another level of resolution and imagining that is attainable. And with the addition of a tube phono pre, my eye balls began to pop out of my head. The next step? I am having a new pair of highend cross overs being built by Dean.
  12. it's the 105 or bust for me... I already have a 93. in all honesty, you can not go wrong with either.
  13. Thanks guys... I need to try some rolling for my phono pre.
  14. maybe not bad for a mono setup... of which I need one.
  15. where are folks buying there tubes so they know what they are getting are good and as advertised?
  16. 1-this could be a few things... one of which is merely be the alternating current +/-... because they are so efficient, my cornwalls also did the same thing until I added a filtered power source and I can replicate the buzzing by plugging my amp directly into the wall outlet. Now that I use a filtered power, I have an extremely black floor in my system with superb separation and spacial qualities. 2-as others have stated, crites is an OEM type cross over replacement... so if that is what you are looking for, go that way(they are also more reasonably priced). if you want to upgrade your cross over components, an ALK designed unit is a really good way to go... as are the cross overs that aletheia audio builds. 3-crites CT-125's are a fairly inexpensive replacement for the Klipsch tweeter if you feel the need. as far as the cornwall and solid state goes... don't let anyone tell you it's not a good match up. it's simply not true, it's just different... and in some cases, not that much different.
  17. you're going to need to use the dealer locator on the Klipsch website and call them to see if they actually stock the item... you MAY find someone here that has a cornwall 1/2 that might be willing to let you come over to hear it at there home.
  18. great... thanks for the write up.
  19. do not want... just give me a 105 and call it a day
  20. other little known british enjoyments... most probably know the walkers
