  1. I thought things were held correctly up there. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ugnxt
  2. The squirrels are my issue. Apples, Persimmons, Muscadines, Figs, Tomato's ....I got mugged all year long. Oh and the wifes new dog that apparently grew a taste for Strawberries, Squash and Zucchini. Its a catch 22... Do I keep the dogs out of the garden or do I keep them there to help keep the squirrels chased off... Either way, I have to come up with a new plan
  3. From the pepper pics everyone has been posting this year, there is likely to be a lot of sauce to go around this fall.
  4. I had a surveillance system at my old house installed. I wanted the harddrive recorder in my listening room hooked directly to my setup and TV. It was there for about 15 minutes due to its loud fan. Thank goodness I had a closet right next to where the wad of Cat5 was coming in.
  5. Uh oh. Temperature snap this Friday here. It looks like we are chopping almost 20 degrees from our current Highs and 20+ starting next week. I hope my upper canopy fruit on my plants have a chance to ripen up.
  6. Wow. Do You hear your heartbeat at that level?
  7. Im a sub 1 watt guy, but I do open the taps now and again when the house is cleared out. Its very satisfying to hear new content in an old recording that you have been listening to for decades. IMO, When you turn the knob down and have a new discovery, that's the ticket and that's the best indicator for a "real world" improvement in my book.
  8. Ok, Ok, enough muscle flexing. The real question is, how quiet is your listening room? Who here is hearing ALL of their signal content?
  9. I agree, its just a big parade. Good thing the smart people boated up and sailed West.

  11. Oh yeah, looking great. OT is gonna be busy this fall
  12. Just from the looks of the new hardware alone, the Cornwall has finally been given what was due. Well done Chief
  13. Looks like lunch has been figured very well
  14. My ghost plants just got a little taller than me which is 6 feet. If you take out the slightly elevated bed, they're easily 5 1/2 feet tall and I may have another honest month of growth.

    RIP Ric Ocasek

    Big Loss. Man o man
  16. I found an Asian style sauce recipe that everyone seems to like. Been using it for dipping roasted shishito's and Anemheim's in and just about anything else that is nearby. Soy sauce Brown sugar Sesame oil Minced ginger Lime Zest chopped 1 inch Tobasco pepper or equivalent
  17. I dont see how the true HiFi market for (blue collar) expensive items will actually grow in years to come. Work, kids and surviving is getting to where it eats all your time and income, not even counting the loss of interest in a niche hobby that has been diluted or erased by the necessities in our lives. I lived and breathed it up until my first born which came late in life. Now I understand how these luxuries that were a priority of desire are now are almost non-existent.
  18. Save me a couple of colors other than red... You're gonna have a lot of red to play with this fall
  19. How is everyone's crop this year? I thought I could eat a few hot items until I watched this
  20. Lots of torque, very quick, but short on top. I think it being close to silent made it seem more impressive than it was. Although, you have to add that it was a four door (kind of) and all electric, 700+ horses and 750+ lbs of torque and it weighs more than a four door F-150. We have really just begun messing with electrics, so in time its what some of us will see racing in the future. Having said that... Even though its a record given its power output for a four door, Its still a ho hum time even compared to an old dinosaur with a mere 505 horses. Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 – 7:22.68
  21. Looks like that would be an echo chamber. But paneled up or push that rear wall out and...
  22. Im always excited to see what creation youre working on Dean.
  23. If you're going the AVR route look for something near the top three models or so no matter which brand you go with. I have been a Denon buyer for decades and it seems their AVR's actually dont fall on their face with 5 or 7 speakers hooked up from prior bench tests. They also have very good SNR values. Also, when you get near the top in Denon and Marantz, the build location changes to Japan rather than China. In most cases, you get what you pay for in an AVR these days.
