  1. I would jump on those.....if I was closer 2 of them would be mine.
  2. There should be a gasket on the driver I think. Get one from Bob Crites or do what I did get a small O-ring IM me if you want to know how I did it. . The silicone around the back plate is usually the fix for the K-55M
  3. Call Cory if you decide to go new speakers for sure. Other than that used is the way to go I know I can never buy new again since price hikes.
  4. I say call Bob Crites get parts from him. But the corns will never keep up with the Bells like you want I dont think. The corns will go lower but not hit as hard, cant really compare the two to each other horn verses direct radiator.
  5. Did not take much before to make them move I could see it move with very little pressure. You wont break them apart. I think veneer on the outside did a lot to stiffen them up. It was also Iron on veneer I used contact cement type on my K-Horns and wanted to try the iron on type. It was just as good maybe even a little easier.
  6. I just saw this post and when I re-veneered my Scalas I put some screws or brad nails I cant remember now in the side wall top and bottom and then veneer over that. Before I did that I could move side walls with my fingers in and out now you cant even move them with a knee on one side and 2 hands on other side. So I dont think you need the inside bracing at all. I wish I had made a video of it maybe someone with stock LaScalas could show how much theirs moves then I could post one of me trying to move mine. I showed my son the day I did it he was impressed. Before I could just grab front edges with fingers and make the side walls move. Now that I thought about it I think I used my air powered brad nailer and put like 5 nails in top and bottom. I did it right after my transplant so not to sure what I used. Doesn't really matter either one will do the job probably.
  7. They woud have to be in perfect condition for 600 Cory has some brand new Hersey III for I think 1200 which is better deal.
  8. Well Cory is a registered Klipsch dealer I will order from him when I need something new...…. But with price increases very unlikely now. Plus I met Cory at Klipsch pilgrimage and the Klipsch FB group has bought tons of stuff from him....Parasound Amps. subs, Jubs I think, he also has AVRs and SVS subs. Cory is not ''Just some business'' he is a fellow Klipsch person from here.
  9. I got an Integra if your looking thats a good deal. 350 including shipping a sweet deal.
  10. Did you call Cory first??? I would not trust ebay for anything that easy to damage, Cory ships his by freight carrier. If you didn't call Cory you paid to much I bet.
  11. Heres special edition 2999.00 each...https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714CW3MB/Klipsch-Cornwall-III-Special-Edition-Matte-Black.html
  12. I think it could be fixed but could be damage to drivers inside. For those thinking about price Cornwall III are 2199.00 from Cory. https://www.paducahhometheater.com/products/klipsch-cornwall so 4400 a pair now. The mid drier is heavy and a drop may have broke or cracked the horn take horn out and look.
  13. Get one of those big suction cup for glass at harbor freight https://www.harborfreight.com/4-1-2-half-inch-diameter-suction-cup-40993.html?_br_psugg_q=suction+cup Or pry metal sliders off ..easy... then put screws there and pull up then you can put sliders back or I would get some grippers if speakers sit on smooth type floor. The bigger question why do you want to get in there those look like new Scalas ????
  14. I would unplug and replug every thing just to start. Could be there was something wrong before this happened ?? If low bass across the board probably has to do with pre amp I would guess. Need another receiver to test speakers. I cant believe just static did something but who knows.
  15. I would try an Iron with cloth between. Also a pressure roller could help.
  16. Loved that movie....
  17. I think you need more power for those Fortes to get those passive 15 inchers moving. But a lot of people here have added subs to both H3 and Forte. Some even add sub to LaScalas while I have not tried it I dont think its required. How much power you got going to those Fortes right now? I dont recognize your equipment from the pics. But I do like that rack. Heres the rack I made out of solid Oak.
  18. These have iron on cherry veneer on the outside and top horn area. I didn't do the dog house because I just used cherry stain and looks good. used edge banding on bass horn edge.
  19. I have used both the iron on and contact cement types. https://woodworker.com/catalog.asp?CATDEFAULT=280&CATPAGE=144
  20. I would recommend this site or call Cory first. I got Integra easy set up phono input. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/brand_category/integra/1.html
  21. Why not sell whole speaker?
  22. Call Cory maybe he can find some for you guys. Or settle for a pair of first generation ones.
  23. You also could try what they use to call ''Grippers'' from dept. store.
  24. Funny... Have you ever met him or seen a picture with Paul and his Bullshit button ? I have and I'm pretty sure Bullshit would be okay with him.
